I was one of the lucky people that received a chance to try out the game for free after launch! I just finished playing for the first time and within those 2 hours, it was already a fun and educational moment for me. I really like how high quality yet simple the art style of the game is. It was super HD in the graphics settings but you can turn it down if you want.
There are SOO MUCH to explore in the journal part of the game and I only covered 30 words/pictures within those 2+ hours since I was streaming and was also conversing with chat while playing. They were trying to learn with me as well and I even did a punishment/batsu game via the find the words function of the game. I hope they add more mini games to it so we can do more interactive learning besides from the find the words and taking pictures.
It's definitely a very fun way to learn Japanese and I can't wait for the game to be more improved and more stuff to be added (hopefully).
My only little problem that happened so far though is the game lags my pc (which is a monster pc) whenever I am alt tabbed. Hope they can fix that problem soon ></

I played this because I saw the reviews were good and I liked the art style and pixel games too.
The story is nice, very emotional and entertaining. The visuals, SFX and BGM's are all really nice too.
The only problem I had was the confusing turns of the monsters because they sometimes just spam and spam and your turn feels like an eternity or the turn bar quickly fills up. That part was annoying but the rest of the game was fine for me considering it IS a free game. That is all!
