I played this game when it was still the old police station and we had half of the maps with far less guns. The game was a blast then and seeing it grow so much has been incredible. I remember RussianBadger's original video on the game it was going to be a PvP shooter like siege and it changed SO much. The team has put in a real effort and its been nice to see them put so much passion into this game. Still a little buggy (especially when trying to S rank) but so much fun nonetheless with some VERY emotionally and morally moving scenarios that highlight a great deal of realism.

Game is fantastic and a lot of fun and an absolute blast, just like playing lethal company for the first time again. I can not recommend this game enough it has so much COOL and FUN to it, which is what every game should have. Everyone giving the negative review are big babies and I haven't had any issues with performance and im running a 1070ti!!!

The cosmetics and ways to earn are all fun and engaging and have so much more than most recent triple AAA titles, buy this over suicide squad I beg you. 10/10 game. Definitely will be one of my top 2024 games!

But seriously, all jokes aside, the performance issues will be dealt with very quickly, its not Activision or Blizzard, and they will be bringing out content every 2 months which is far better than quite a few games.

I dumped 8.8 hours into it cackling and screaming like a poor lil twink. My one and only fear is being chased and not being able to friggin see, and this game hits both of those extremely well. Me and my friends describe it as a rogue like with heavy horror elements that requires you to go and find loot like its sea of theives to give yourself some drip. I highly recommend it with 4 friends who are all goofy / silly / easily spooked.

This game released at about 2017 and didn't have much publicity when it came out, and I had bought it on my PS4 (never finishing it) about a year or so after, bought the moon DLC for it and everything. However, seeing it on sale, I came back to it again recently on steam. Unlike my much younger self, I would say I have a far greater appreciation for certain atmospheres of games, especially in the Sci-Fi setting, and I am enthralled by this game setting, and I am very close to finishing the game.

I'd like to say that the atmosphere of this game is incredible, the start of the game starts mysterious, and the more you explore this empty station you get more and more questions. The names of crew members can be hard to follow at times and the plot, but if you stay focused it really follows up on itself. You become ingrained in the plot the more you explore, wondering what happened to everyone and what WILL happen the more you explore. If you play on HARD (my personal recommendation) you really have to choose between sneaking at first or killing everything, sometimes not having a choice. Every room feels unique, the atmosphere constantly Regal yet Scientifically focused. This game's design is unlike every other, recently Starfield has been able to come close but the NASA-esqueness it has just doesn't fill the same hole. The sheer amount of science it has dumped into it and the "lore" is incredible (even history with the USSR and US is fun too).

The combat for the game is thrilling because at any random moment I could have just exploded and get jump scared by an enemy (such as the Nightmare, such a unique experience). The aesthetic is everywhere from the music (lovely) to the environmental design (perfection), to even just the weapons (simple but enjoyable).

One of the little things I do in the game is just walk around, exploring the wonderful areas it has, even admiring the way it changes the further you go along with the Coral spreading everywhere and the Typhon themselves are such a unique enemy, especially playing what is essentially Prop Hunt with the mimics. The frustration / fear that I would get at seeing certain enemies and playing peek-a-boo or destroying them. There is no part of this game (other than the faces of crew mates) that wasn't lovingly detailed and has REAL work put into it.

The inclusion of the lesbian relationship was quite nice because there was work put into it that made it part of the story, even going so far as to help murder the man who killed the one girlfriend. I feel a major part of why people dislike modern gaming is the inclusion of LGBT at every given opportunity but it is put into Prey so casually it felt fitting, like sure why wouldn't there be some lesbians there when they are dedicated scientists trying to help better things with lore and backstory and everything.

I love this game, I have very little negative to say in anything about it. It may get annoying at times, but never BAD. I will put more upon this review once I finish, but I doubt my opinion will change much.

Me and my friends bought the ultimate edition that allowed us to play 3 days early. At first the constant chatting was SUPER annoying but they changed it and brought it down yesterday. The gameplay is FANTASTIC and far friendlier (but still punishing) than a great deal of other souls likes. The classes are all fun and their abilities actually feel impactful unlike most other "ability" focused games. The atmosphere of the 4 areas me and my friends have been in have all seemed well tailored, the music is fantastic and very dramatic in their areas and I can't think of a single time I have disliked this game (except the aforementioned constant character nagging).
But, most importantly:
We have had INSANE amounts of fun!!! THE BOSSES ARE SO GOOD!! I can not recommend this game enough and I beg everyone who has tried the first to play this one!! Just get the standard, the cosmetics and such are really cool but this is a $60 game at $50, it is very much worth.

I remember back in the day playing this on Playstation and thoroughly enjoying it other than the predatory micro-transactions, which I believe is fully the reason for this game's demise. The ship design, map design, music, sounds, voice acting are all perfection and it is a true shame the game never took off because it deserves to have had to. Oh well, it was a lot of fun, and I am playing it with a lot of friends to enjoy it before it shuts down in July.

Still one of my favorite games of all time. I had 100 Percent the game on Playstation 4, with my last achievement being the Top 3 Gauntlet. I made it a point to get that achievement before even beginning the campaign, got it within the first hour. Great game, wish I could have fully enjoyed it when Valkyrie just got released and everyone was styling on her stupid dad. Love you Marvin.
