When I purchased Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, I will admit that my expectations were low. What fun could a game based on a 20+ year old franchise bring me when all I play are shooters? However, I was hopeful. I remembered the golden memories I had playing Spongebob Squarepants: Truth or Square with my neighbors many years ago. After completing the game I can confidently say that this is easily one of the best games I have ever played. From the engaging and responsive combat to priceless references to iconic Spongebob episodes littered throughout the games many graphically stunning levels, Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is surprisingly in tune with the heart of the franchise.
