I came into this game thanks to Destiny 2.

How?
Well,. D2's base game was being given away for free by activition,. i played it, and yes enjoyed it.
Great story, lovely graphics,. but then you have to pay for the first expansion, and then the second expansion.
Don't get me wrong, D2 is a good game and I enjoyed the game as I was playing it,. but not enough to warrant paying for a whole bunch of expansions barely a week into playing it.

So,. a friend mentioned Warframe.
In fact he mentioned it before I even tried D2.

I had a bunch of codes from humble bundle, so i figured what the hell, why not.

...

Warframe is, quite simply put, bigger, better, more content than D2, a much more immersive story-quest line, better plot twists, more customization, has a bigger more active community than D2 ever will, and you can get into it right away.

Yeah there's a learning curve. Just use the wiki or join discord.

But it's a fast paced shooter/melee/parkours game unlike any first (or third person in this case) shooter you've ever played.
And it's continuously updated. Every few weeks there's a patch with a LOT of content.

That brings me to the negatives:
- Third person mode is not able to be turned off,. I'd have preferred first person, but you do get used to it.
- It can be grindy if you try to get something specific and want it "right now" instead of over the course of a week or two while you play all the content.
- The cash shop seems daunting at first, but it's fully optional. Just see it as a "I should craft this later" list. And just get the blueprint instead.
