Pretty nice self contained adventure in the Outer Wilds universe. Overall it doesn't affect the lore of the original game very much so you are not missing the "true ending" or something like that if you don't own yet. Gameplay wise it's still the beloved exploration in the favorite universe. The music is still great, the new gameplay mechanics are solid. While I find the horror questionable and probably not very fitting the game - with enough of the in-game knowledge they are skippable and don't bother you too much. While it's not mandatory to own and play it right away - would still recommend getting it, especially to fill the void original game left in your soul.

One of the best games in the series, very charming, has a nice overarching plot and memorable characters. Definitely a must buy for any Ace Attorney series fan

Great platformer and much deeper game than it seems on a first glance

It's pretty good

It's an alright game but nothing exceptional. Gameplay is fun but gets repetitive pretty fast. The plot is ... there. It's fairly simple to understand, but puzzling all the threads might be hard. Overall would not recommend the game for the full price unless you are a die-hard Remedy fan and was waiting for the Steam release.

Recommending it for the great sense of exploration and storytelling.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this game. Doesn't mean it's bad, no, it's a fairly good game, but it's inferior to the original in almost every way.
The story the game is telling feels unnecessary, especially considering that we already know how it ends. Most of the new characters feel like they shouldn't be there at all.
The new artstyle feels weird at first, especially if you played original and 0 back to back but you get used to it. But for unknown reason the sprites from the original start to reappear alongside the new ones, Mixture of styles doesn't look organic at all.
It's an alright game if you are a s;g fan and want to get all the content possible. But if you just liked the original - new game will feel like a filler episode for you and probably won't add to any experience you had with original game.

As good as the first one

A fine addition to the original Hatoful Boyfriend story. If you are a fan but somehow didn't play Holiday Star yet don't wait and get it
