TL;DR Would not recommend at the current state of the game
Weapon skins that add weapon stats through microtransactions while the developers promised no microtransactions.

Loved this game, played over 700 hours and then Overkill decided to add weapon skins through microtransactions to a paid game with a load of paid DLC. To top it up, the skins boost weapon stats basically making it Pay 2 Win and there's no way of obtaining these skins without spending real life money.

This system of microtransactions was released as a community reward after the Road to Crimefest, where the promiss was that all content unlocked is free. Giving us safes with weapon stat boosting skins that need $2.50 "drills" to open them isn't free content. Thanks for giving us the option to give you more money?

Giving up on Payday until they at the very least remove the weapons stats from the skins, and give us a way of obtaining skins without spending real life money.

They're placing moneygrabbing above a good quality game.
