Poor keyboard and mouse support. No HOTAS support. Good graphical port, but they completely forgot about controls.

Recommended if you have a controller. Not recommended if you were planning to use a HOTAS or expecting polished keyboard/mouse controls like Elite.

One of the most profound games ever made. PC port is 'okay'. Best played with controller as the bullet hell levels are not well ported for mouse & keyboard. There are mods that fix mouse/keyboard to behave more inline with what you'd expect on a PC title.

First things first. Difficulty. Yes, it's difficult. But after 3 restarts and picking up lessons along the way, i completed the game right through on my 4th restart. My recommendation for anyone playing this is go as far as you can, but don't be afraid to restart. Mistakes snowball. Think about what was it that you may have done in the last x hours that contributing to the current pain right now, and then fix it on your next playthrough.

But otherwise, top tier world building, music and art. I appreciate that the storyline favours hope over despair as that made it (personally) much more playable than Frostpunk. I also appreciate that there's no odd gameplay gotchas. What is explained is what you get. Not like Frostpunk's house squeezing and odd building sizing based on offset and depth. It made it a lot easier to work out mechanics just by playing the game rather than having to metagame.
