meh, newgrounds flash game

Still teasing you along, but the sidestory in this one is way better than in milestone 1. Unfortunately I don't think skipping the first one is a reasonable thing to do.

Not what I expected at all. I suppose if I had looked into the game more I would have seen it, but I think It was intentionally deceptive. Only one image is where the majority of this vn takes place and it actually doesn't really indicate anything.

I spent half of the time wonder when or if it will go back to the stuff shown in the promo art because I honestly didn't care for what was going on. Theres one prompt for player decision in the game and it does absolutely nothing. I was really excited when it showed up because I thought it meant we could finally get on with it, but nope. Instead we just sit there wallowing in this family's problems despite our main characters being on a clock and need to gtfo. Logically if you were in their position you would not do what they did. Its absolutely stupid.

I do have to give it credit for some pretty great world building though. I could see this world existing.

Its not terrible, but its not great either.

This is easily one of the best metroidvania's I have ever played. It has rpg mechanic's that I have never seen in a metroidvania. Not only does it have equipable gear, but also upgradeable gear, a skill tree, and all kinds of magic.
There is 2 characters to choose from at the beginning and 2 more are unlockable which means meaningful replay value thanks to the rpg mechanics. Typically in castlevania games you unlock 2 characters at the end of the game and those characters cannot equip items so what you start with is what you end with and the run is basically easy mode because you aren't gated by anything. I don't know what else to say, but if you like metroidvania's and if you like Dark Souls you should play this.

I really enjoyed this game but it was too easy. I beat the game twice one after the other in less than 7 hrs of playtime. I didn't even encounter some of the items of which there actually aren't that many. Thats testament to how few runs I did or how few shops I encountered before doing the winning runs I suppose . Also Its not like I just had a god setup for both wins. The second one I didn't get any 'weapon upgrades'.

For under $3 it was worth it.

Its much better going into this game with no expectations, because there are no collectibles you go back to find like in a traditional metroidvania, but you do get upgrades and progress through the game by backtracking. Just go along for the 2hr ride. This is a really well made game with everything being done for a reason although you may not realize it until the end.

Good story telling bogged down by boring repetitive gameplay.

Fun platformer with 100 levels. Each of witch has a different gimmick to it.

This game is such a good stealth game with so many various ways to handle each situation allowing for plenty of replay value. There are plenty of checkpoints allowing you to make a perfect run or at least meet your goal without having to replay the whole level. Just play it.
