One of the greatest platformers of all time. Insanely good gameplay, tons of replayability, a bumping soundtrack, and hands down the best Wario-Like you'll ever play. This game combines the best of Sonic, with the best of Wario, to give you a truly unique and beautiful experience with some killer art and great cutscenes to go along with it. Never had a bad time with this one. All ups, no downs.

Beside's looking like a graphically worse version of Prepare to Die, with watered down textures, the gamma set to 1,000 and overall looking like someone dumped bleach on it, they removed all of the funny harmless offline glitches/exploits while leaving in the online gamebreaking PvP ones. Modding this game is a nightmare as Miyazaki's preening eyes seek to target ruin on any and all who download any and all mods, be they malicious or otherwise. And to top it all off controller support is botched and breaks after you tab out once, only to be fixed by restarting your COMPUTER. Basically if you're lucky enough to have Prepare to Die there's no reason to get this game, it never goes on sale and it's legitimately worse in every single facet it could possibly be. Unless you wanna drop $40 on Vamos Bonfire.

Terrific, old and jank. Super weird but loads of fun. Everything is confusing but none of that matter because you gain Brousouf which solves all your problems. If you join a public server and someone by the name of "(˵Φ ω Φ˵)" joins and tells you to join his discord ignore him and change servers. He's 15 and will grief you nonstop if you say anything mean to him. 10/10.

The cars fly

This has been one of my favorite games of all time but looking at not only upcoming content but also the complete lack of concern by the devs to make the game not run like ♥♥♥♥ or have servers that work, while letting moderators abuse their power and get away with it, it's hard to recommend it.

I just got permanently muted for defending someone who got banned for a week from playing after he threw a firebomb at a moderator because the moderator teamkilled him 4 times. Moderator's excuse was "i said i was sorry". This kind of thing happens all too often with the moderators of this game as they're all close friends with the developers. If you choose to buy this after reading this review and you notice a moderator in your lobby, quit your game and find a new lobby it is not worth it, or you'll end up like me.

Maps like Castello have been known to crash people game's for a long time now and the devs have completely ignored this issue and are instead using their time to dish out minuscule yearly updates that either make the game run worse or in some cases NERF T-BAGGING.

It's clear their focus isn't on making the game an enjoyable product for their community and rather on appeasing people that don't even play it. Deciding to break away from the realism we were promised by adding in fantasy elements like Dwarves and Giants and including things like people of color and women in frontline European combat in supposedly "highly believable and realistic" depictions of historical medieval warfare.

They're deciding to remove iconic voice lines from the game that reference specific genders because that would be potentially problematic and they don't want to offend people who quite frankly don't even play the game to begin with.

And if all that wasn't enough, combat breaking exploits like animation cutting still exist after years of complaints. Overall this game is a mess, they have no intention of foxing any of it's issues, and the direction the're going with it is only making it worse and worse every time. Been thinking about shelving it for a while now, and I think it's finally time. Rest in Peace Mordhau, Rest in Peace. You will be missed.

Steam asked if I wanted to revise my review and I do. The last 6 hotfixes ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game even more than I thought possible so even if everything else aside the game doesn't even feel the same anymore and they've changed everything for no reason. Last 6 hotfixes changed all combat and idle animations as well as emotes and sound effects for LITERALLY NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ REASON. Feels terrible.

One of the best games I've played. I'm a sucker for physics based exploration games where movement mastery is key and this game has it all. The world is massive and has tons of collectibles scattered across its multiple biomes and unique locations, each with it's own unique Floraforms to analyse and collect. The sheer scope of the environment may be overwhelming at first, but the game's rapid ability progression and upgrade system based around the Crystal collectibles allows for satisfyingly quick and effortless traversal around the globe. 10/10. If you liked the first one or physics based exploration games, you'll love this one.
