I've been with this game since the first weeks it came out and although i disagree with some of the balancing updates to the weapons (i.e. eruptor my beloved) and to the enemies (buffing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ striders) that they have made in the 6 months that this game has been i can say for sure that this is still one of the most fun games ive ever played. If you are new to the game and want to give this game a chance i recommend you disregard the comments made by the people who only know how to cry about nerfs and the like because most of the time are just huge exagerations from the more vocal and more toxic (and a bit braindead if you ask me) part of the community.
In conclusion, get the game, play one of the best games ever made, dont listen to the manchildren (although i agree in some aspects) and remember to haver fun.
