Let me start by saying I enjoy this game. I am a huge fan of the tide series and I like the game play itself. That being said, this game is designed to work on solid state drives, so if you're like me and don't have the ability to put it on one, your experience with this game will probably be bad.

This game is so poorly optimized for hard drives.

It takes me 15-20 minutes to load into the game usually. That's from booting it up to actually being in the hub. The game stutters so much, and it won't load character models for a minute or so after you actually load in. The worst part is when I try to load into a mission, most of the time my game either crashes, or the game boots me cause I take too long to load in. This means I have to restart the game and pray I can load in fast enough to reconnect.

They need to fix their optimization. No game should ever be designed to work exclusively on solid state drives until SSDs are the only form of storage we use

I wasn't a huge fan of Souls games. I've played Dark Souls 1 and 2 and I wasn't the biggest fan of them. Elden ring, on the other hand knocks it out of the park and addresses all of the issues I had with the previous games. The gameplay is fun, the world is engaging, and the combat is quite diverse.

I have played through the game three times, trying out different fighting styles and builds as I went, and the fact that all of them were fun and viable made the game that much more interesting to play.

I love this game, and I recommend it to anyone who likes a challenge, even if you don't like souls games too much. It's a great place to start!

There are many games that are so addicting, but have certain aspects that are also infuriating. CS:GO is one of those games.

It's has a great combat system that forces the player to learn (yes, there is indeed a learning curve, looking at you CoD) how to properly shoot their guns. If you're looking for a game where you can just run around and shoot things, please go somewhere else. This game is not for you. Despite all this, the shotguns are ridiculously broken. If you've played the game you should know what I'm talking about. With the shotguns you will either do no damage at point-blank range or you will one-shot kill someone at a distance. Rarely is there anything inbetween these two scenarios.

If you play this game, you will get frustrated, probably angry, might rage, but that's all to be expected. You might start to hate the game itself, but then you will come accross something in the game be it a nice play you saw, a weapon, a skin, or just a group of players that you encountered on a random server that will make you fall in love with it all over again.

This game has quickly become one of my favorites, and I hope you won't get too mad at the game and give it the time it needs to warm up to you.
