This is simply the best game I've ever played. The unfolding difficulty, the endless combinations of items, the near endless depth and scope to learn more with each play, and the ongoing list of unlocks just keep pulling me back again and again. There has never been and there will never be another game that executes the rogue-lite formula so well, I feel certain of that. As someone who's been on the Edmund train since the original release of Super Meat Boy I'm certainly what you would call a fanboy, but his designs are so strong, so personal, and so deeply felt that I will always be excited to try whatever new madness he creates.
And don't forget the soundtrack. Ridiculon have made simply the best indie video game OST of all time with Isaac. Creepy, emotional, bombastic, and just plain weird, it fits this game like a glove.
Thanks Ed and co, you really have gifted us a magnum opus with this one. I'll be playing it for another 10 years at least.

A great time for those who are looking for a puzzle that isn't too taxing

As open or as on rails as you want it to be, they've perfected the Hitman formula with this series. With so many and varied playgrounds to work your craft its hard to imagine ever playing this game out.

A masterpiece of short form tactical gameplay with incredible depth. Early games can feel punishingly lucky, but with experience even the most dire of situations can be managed and accounted for.
