Minute I spawn; first thoughts... wow this is beautiful on max settings...

chop a few trees and pick a few fibers and figured out controls.... attacked and killed by lvl2 wolf
respawn with nothing but starting equipment and now its night time and froze to death...
respawn with nothing and froze then attacked by another wolf
waited for daytime and respawned, walked a few more feet and killed by another wolf...

i think that's enough for me...

ITS A GUNDAAAAAAM!!!!

psyk! Its AC: newb mode... probably the easiest armored core game of them all. None the less its still AC and i love it! would really love if they included ALL the arms and attachment from all the series. /shrug

Looking forward to future stuff...

Final Release

No body customization, just face... 0/10 (pre-release had multiple options... dont know why they removed it all)

Story 9/10 (They changed various bits from pre-release, didnt see anything wrong with prior arrangement)

More to come as i venture my 20th story...

On the fence but I'll recommend it. This is not AOE3 remastered with new features into AOE4.
Theres alot of key features and mechanics removed from AOE3.
Its dumbed down quite a bit yet heavily unbalanced.
What they tried simplifying has made it more encumbering worth of tasks to repeat.
No more upgrading walls or key cards. If you want to upgrade your wood walls into stone walls. Time to demolish everything and rebuild it all into stone. No easy way of just overlaying the stone wall key and guiding over or simple button to upgrade and have your villagers auto demo and rebuild.. If you build walls first then buildings you can tuck them nicely together but once you rebuild the hitbox area gets in the way and you cant build the walls now. No more tucking a tower up to the edge of a wall now your 1-2 blocks away without even rotating..

Theres a list of differences in this game it starts to feel its awhole nother game.. Its still fun but relearning the operation and having alot less cities to play with kind of kills me...

Its like starcraft and then playing sc2 and only wishing they updated starcraft instead...

Currently cant recommend the game.

Too many bugs
-had a bug in campaign tutorial and locked me from proceeding; restart the game and it removed tutorial.

Campaign is hard.. I've played FTL which has its elements but with the small bugs it hinders operating a ship at times...
Unfocus on weapons, not registering where you click or where to aim weapons

Stations randomly generate to far away from you, human crew is very hungry... so i run out of food quick but most sectors are blocked by bosses that are too difficult for starting crew... Either i'm playing this game backwards or mechanics need alot of tweaking... Been through 8 playthroughs so far and fail to get past the first sector.. quests are too far and all automated ships dont drop food... or barely fuel.. youll run out of these reaaaal quick.. i enjoyed that with FTL you could gather these from kills.. stations charging so much too for fuel youll end up dry quick if you dont have a one way path to guide yourself..

going to keep playing as im hoping its just a bigger learning curve to this than meets the eye.

graphics are nice, it could use some work on scaling ui and wish the crew could grow experience for skills theyre stationed in like FTL... if this is implimented i dont see any status info to check this..

I expected a free roam non-linear game but ended up with heavy story that drowns you with little combat and a poor rendition of fire emblem.

I'll follow and watch for updates but cant justify the purchase currently.

A little over 10hrs and in a sense completed the game to my own self satisfaction...

I'm rating it positive because I feel there will be more growth in the coming time. just right now i feel there isn't much content to continue my steady town of 11 people.. My research is complete and my people live humbly in the small guarded town that they demolish everyone who tries to enter.. very self sufficient on auto pilot... without any schooling

I'll be back to update when they add more. In mean time Noble Fate has kept my interest more sadly as I want to play this i feel torn yet lacklusting...

After 6 playthroughs, i've only successfully got one group to finally cooperate too a degree.. problem being your crew all are a bunch of brainless toddlers that need attention 24/7 and can't take care of themselves..
i really enjoy the concept and the ideas.. i really hope they keep improving on it. I'll continue to keep playing, but if problems aren't fixed i'm barely getting past house grade 9 at this rate and the minute one person leaves everything falls apart. A group of 6 was just too much of a struggle with their happiness always plummeting

Improvements:
crew auto gathers equipment for their needs
jobs less dependent on their happiness
more time of engaging crew is unhappy and going to leave.
happiness scale shouldn't be dictated by me talking with them all day distracting me from developments

UPDATE:
Few patches later; they still haven't improved on your group being self automated. Babysitter 24/7; even when you fixate their jobs and scaling for priority theyll never do it themselves. I feel i waste countless hours only to restart the game and find another crew.
Your group forever hates you and your king is always in depression of hating him/her/them-self... Its truly a love hate for the game...
