Beautifully built game with a complex UI and survival system. Despite being early access, the game is in great shape and very well developed so far. A challenging, unique and realistic take on the zombie survival experience with a nice sandbox element that keeps players engaged. The difficulty level is intense, and the UI is just as difficult to navigate and understand, as such I believe the game is very skill based but also has a very intense learning curve. With enough playtime you can begin to understand the controls, functions, and systems. The combat system is a bit janky and could use some optimization and fine tuning, as well as the overall game response struggling to keep up with quick player movements and a less-than-ideal movement system that makes it harder to navigate the world.

The depth of this game is astonishing, it's obvious in every aspect that the game is full of love and time and a genuine passion for video game creation and development. For anyone seeking a more intense, challenging and realistic zombie survival experience I would recommend Project Zomboid a thousand times over. But maybe start with a custom sandbox first....or have fun dying on day one! It's entirely up to the player and that's what I love about it :] <3
