I've been absolutely addicted to playing this game and I'm not even close to being half way through it.
They should add modding support in the future because I feel some people could make some pretty awesome stuff with mods.

I've come back to edit my review now that I've been able to complete the game, my original review was saying that I personally couldn't recommend the game to anyone due to the amount of bugs, but I've changed my mind.

Reanimal is a great game and experience with absolutely incredible atmosphere and themes, a lot of the time I caught myself sitting still or deliberately taking my time going through areas because of how blown away I was with how incredible some of the environments were. There were moments where my heart was pumping hard because of the adrenaline rushes I was having from some of the encounters in the game. The gameplay feels engaging and weighted, even more so than Little Nightmares. however the gameplay is where I have some critiques with the game.

- I don't feel the price is worth what the game has, especially considering the season pass being expensive too.
- This game feels like a singleplayer game with co-op just tacked on, I feel the characters really have zero differences from each other outside of animations and the few moments where they're doing something different, which to be honest, is what I expected. I didn't expect Tarsier Studios to do the most innovative form of co-op gameplay, I feel what we have is alright, but I wish there was something more.
- The boat feels incredibly clunky to control, however I personally have no clue how that could be improved.
- Combat is incredibly simplistic to the point of where it's just button mashing, I know this genre isn't meant to be a fighting game, and I really don't want it to have complex mechanics like that, however... I feel an extra mechanic being involved would've made the few fights that actually happen feel much more fun and impactful (maybe the enemies would lunge whenever attacking, so you could have dodging...?)
- There are moments in the game where I have no clue what I am supposed to be doing. Sometimes I feel like the player isn't given enough direction, primarily just where to go, but this genre has always been known for not doing the best job with that, so I can't judge too much.
- The game is incredibly optimized but greatly struggles whenever loading things, this is most prevalent during chases and the finale, I was blocked out of completing the game because of it during my playthrough, having to start a new save file and pick the previous chapter and replay back to where I was.

I do plan on completely finishing the game, grabbing all of the achievements, so I might possibly edit this review whenever I do.

I can confidently say that I'd recommend this game to other people, unlike what a lot of the reviews on this game say, I believe the game is a 7/10. I've been looking forward to this game for months now, Little Nightmares is one of my favorite game series, so whenever I found out they were making a Co-op Little Nightmares title, I was immensely excited. One of the main criticisms of the second game was that they advertised two characters which lead people to believe the game was Co-op, but it turned out it wasn't. So to finally have the chance to play a Co-op Little Nightmares game was incredibly exciting to me. I went in with high expectations, and I left satisfied, which appears to be a sort of unpopular opinion with this game.

I played through this game with my close friend and we managed to beat the game in roughly 4 hours of gameplay, Little Nightmares games are known for not being the longest games out there, so when I see complaints about this game not being long, I get rather confused. I get the argument that 40 dollars for something which is a mere 3-4 hours long is quite upsetting, but in the perspective of Little Nightmares, I don't personally see the validity in this. I beat Little Nightmares 1 in under 3 hours, while also searching for secrets and taking my time. I really feel like the length of this game FEELS longer because you can play with your friends, which is another thing I'd like to talk about. Your friends don't have to pay for the game, they could've easily just made it a requirement for both players to pay for the game, but they didn't. It's a 40 dollar purchase from 1 person that multiple people can enjoy. I feel like that alone made it worth 40 dollars to me personally, but I understand why for others it might not be an excuse. The world's economy anymore, especially in the part of the world I'm living in, The United States, is incredibly rough and having a spare 40 to buy a game that doesn't even last you long is a very hard choice to make.

I also just wanted to briefly give my thoughts on my actual issues with the game, because there is a few I have that are rather confusing why those issues even exist? The enemy AI feels incredibly janky sometimes, I can't really explain what I exactly mean by this, but you'll know what I mean if you've played the game before. Some of the puzzles (the minecart one in the candy factory) are incredibly mind numbing and not fun to do at all. It feels like I'm just WAITING to finish a segment so I can actually get back to the fun stuff, which is upsetting. My last main issue with the game is how incredibly clanky the grabbing items mechanic is in this game? I understand it's a new studio and they might not know exactly what to do for the items, but it just felt terrible grabbing anything or climbing. Also there is no rewards for completing specific achievements or finding specific collectibles? The costume feature feels incredibly underutilized and seems like it was just made to make some extra money for the game, which I really don't like.

Another small issue I had with the game was that the pre-order bonus for the game wasn't exclusive. I had assumed the "Dark Six" costume would've been exclusive to pre-ordering the game, but it wasn't. I felt sort of scammed to see it being sold as the cheapest DLC you can buy. I don't know, that's just a nitpick though.

That's basically all I have to say about the game, I'd definitely recommend it if you have a friend willing to play it with you. Just remember this game doesn't support Couch Co-op, at least not yet. I don't know if it's something that'll be added in the future or not. I don't see it being likely.

Whenever I was playing the game, and I was walking blue princess through the level and she made it to the end, it truly showed me the meaning of "do you know da wae".
Sometimes I liked to imagine myself as being the blue princess being led by the Uganda Knuckles, I'd love to have a big strong hero save me from danger.
Being able to play as the infamous meme character "Uganda Knuckles" was a huge turn on for me.
This game truly made me squirt all over my room, I had to clean it up with my mom's bathroom towel.
I never truly knew what I liked sexually until I played this game.
Thank you Laush Dmitriy Sergeevich for helping me truly figure out what I want to have in my life later down the line.
