Six years of playing across three platforms has shown that while Destiny won't always be the first game to play on my list, it will always be the game that I come back to. Tight action, an exciting and interesting world, and an easy pick-up-for-30-minutes approach to gameplay isn't something I've found duplicated anywhere else.

The only downside is the vocal minority of the community who regularly fall in love with content updates only to complain about them six weeks later. The new seasons approach means you'll go through that cycle with them four times per years, but in much shorter spurts, versus the old expansion model, wherein the highs ran longer but the complaining would go on for months. Do yourself a favour and avoid the the official forum, the main subreddit, and any of the replies on twitter. Just go play the game instead, it's a far better use of your time.
