The most fun Ive had in an MMO.
Is it pay to win? Short answer, no. While some of the "Real money" ships have cool abilities and special console slots, they have the same weapon fittings as the free ships so you only gain a neat skin or cool looking alien ship and a rare ability. Yes some things are locked behind real money "ZEN", like extra inventory slots or account bank access, Ive put nearly 200 hrs into this game and havent found the need to shill out for these items.

Every 10 levels up to 60 you get a free ship to upgrade to, and the ships you get are perfectly fine for playing through the game without feeling like youre under powered. The difficulty is ramped up a bit near the end of the main story missions, but its like most MMOs' where you need to keep your gear updated.

TL;DR- Its not pay to win. Its free to play, just give it a go.

Great game, if you like terraria but want to also visit other planets, then this is the game for you!
