Early Access Review
Game lets you skip intro logo movies. Already GOTY.

Fun core gameplay, like others have said, a mixture of barotrauma shenanigans with DRG style mission runs.

Would love a long form career mode, and ability to fix permanent hull damage in the future.

Well done for an early access game, and the roadmap looks promising.

If you like coop crew games, this is definitely worth the buy.

It's mario party with a worse UI.

This game just feels like a chore. It really tries too hard to be something it's not. It's a western action combat game that tries to be dark souls with none of the lore, scenery, music, or sense of exploration that makes that game work.

Instead, all it has is the "difficulty" which manifests itself in a bizarre complete lack of map/minimap, a questlog that is beyond useless, and combat which feels incredibly inconsistent. Weighty weapons don't sound or feel weighty, they just feel clunky. Enemies stagger inconsistently, lending you to always wonder if you can afford to do your combo or if they're going to decide to ignore your attacks for no reason. Parrying doesn't match the animation at all, and the executions, while cool at first, end up just taking more and more of your time for no reason.

I gave up on this game after wandering around aimlessly for an hour with no clue on how to proceed, nor any way of figuring out where these locations that NPCs are apparently telling me to go are. Furthermore, so much of the map is locked due to traversal macguffins that you don't have, and have no idea how to get, with no clear path to the next boss or objective.

This game has mediocre to decent combat, ruined by an absolutely horrid map.

It's a solid mmo.

It won't blow you away, but it's a solid experience with good graphics, customization, and a buy to play monetization model that honestly feels very fair in this world of subscriptions and freemium titles.

You get the full game for $40, everything else is cosmetic, even the battle pass. There is no p2w at all. Pretty good value for what you get.

The gameplay is a mix of tab targeting and action combat, similar to Tera but with more of a WoW like focus on pooling resources, a choice between rotational and proc based combat (depending on your class), and strong burst cooldowns. The combat is responsive, but not terribly weighty, things tend to be a bit floaty, which seems necessary for it's low GCD and attack weaving system.

Healing and tanking feel good, leaning into the role instead of forcing you to focus on dps like FF14 (mostly because theres nothing to do...). Healing is "weak" with strong burst cds, focusing on triage healing and using CDs to react to mechanics.
