Fantastic game that you can spend hours on with maximum replayability. AI is arguably a little too tough for a beginner however overall the game runs incredibly smoothly and is super enjoyable!

Please note this review is written from the perspective of a casual simulator fan.

I initially had this game as a strongly recommended game, however, the more I continue to follow the Dovetail team, the more frustrated I feel. I have proudly owned this game since it's inception in 2018, but I'm not sure if I'm proud owner anymore.

The lack of community engagement has saddened me deeply. The many simple yet game-changing ideas suggested by so many community members on the forums lie simply rejected in the wasteland of the Dovetail forums.

The DLCs never seem to be worth the monetary value you pay and they rarely are touched or updated once released.

The game consistently makes me replay tutorials after PC upgrades or re-installs and wastes hours of my time trying to teaching me controls I already know or wish to workout myself.

The development team should be proud of this beautiful game with such groundbreaking mechanics and graphics but should be weary of the community that grows impatient of the continual rejection of community input and lack of attention to past DLCs.

I hope that one day I will be able to be as excited about this game as when I first bought it back in August of 2018.

PAYDAY 2 is a game that will satisfy all your criminal needs without the added worries of spending the rest of your life in prison.

PAYDAY 2 has recently resurfaced in my games library and has brought me several hours of entertainment and fun. Its multiplayer is simple to setup and has no hassles, the gameplay is smooth and the game on the whole plays really well. It isn’t impossibly tough but it doesn’t give everything to you on a plate either which is essential when making a game to find that balance of keeping players wanting to play but still challenging them to find new ways to play.

Originally posted by PAYDAY 2:

Whilst I have only been playing with max three friends, the game has given me great pleasure and is always challenging me and my mates to find the next best way to stealth our way through the level so we don’t have to face an impending doomsday. However the game has some minor draw backs.

The biggest drawback of this game I feel is the DLC dependency this game has. More than fifty percent of the game is truly DLC only which really saddens me. Even missions I used to play pre-DLC’s have now been added to DLC packs. The game really pushes you to buy DLC after DLC and it really doesn’t feel fair that I need to invest $50 to use so many of the games features.
Regardless however, PAYDAY 2 is a game that has made its way back in to my Favourite Games tab in Steam and for good reason. It’s a great, cooperative game, without the drawbacks of worrying about all the technical stuff.

I’m giving PAYDAY 2 a 8/10

ArmA 3 brings realism to the FPS and Military gaming scene like never before

Armed Assault 3 (ArmA 3) is a realistic, military simulator. With extremely detailed game content and mechanics, it’s hard not to pass by ArmA 3 if you’re a tactical shooter. Additionally, it is open to 3rd party content making modding abilities endless. With recent additions of RPG gamemodes such as Altis Life, ArmA 3 Life and Takistan Life it has developed an extremely large player base opening itself to both the tactical shooter and role playing gamer.

This quote can’t be any truer. ArmA 3 throws you right into an amazing world of tactics, aim, survival and skill. Although I cannot speak from experience, ArmA does an extremely good job of giving players an inside into real life combat. None of this run and gun and respawn stuff, pure strategising, taking time and executing coordinated attacks.

ArmA 3 has always been a game I go to when I have that hunger for some tactical role play and it never fails to satisfy that hunger. I’m really looking forward to what BIH have install for us in future updates and patches and the new map in 2016, Tanoa .

UPDATE: With the new Apex Expansion I have only been impressed. The new vehicles, endless combat and missions bring a new level to the ArmA game.

Con: BIH are yet to implement easy LAN/Internet Private games. Currently extremely hard to set up a simple server, even for the APEX Coop Missions.

I’m giving ArmA 3 a 9/10 (Increased from a 8/10)

CS:GO Review
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is by far one of the best FPS games around combining tactics with pure raw fragging ability

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a simple FPS shooter. But simple wouldn’t be right. CS:GO has over its 14 years of existing, has become a major focal point of gaming. With an ever expanding community and huge support for professional tournaments, it’s not hard to see Valve is doing something right.

However; CS:GO has been plagued all its life with several flaws, mostly surrounding the very allusive VAC system. VAC ( Valve Anti-cheat System ) is Valve’s so called response to cheaters. No one really quite knows how it works, but we can be damn sure it isn’t good enough. It takes too long to suspend cheaters from the game and has done a poor job even detecting cheats. If anything drags CS:GO down, it’s the way Valve are treating cheating.

Other than its poorly made anti-cheat system, I have no complaints. I have racked up enough hours to know it’s a game I can’t stop going back to. Whether it’s that want to just frag or to actually strat, the option is always there. All In all, Valve have done an amazing job with CS:GO and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for CS:GO.

At this current stage I rate CS:GO a 8.5/10

Rust is an extremely entertaining game and in the past I have had extremely good experiences

However, recently I have noticed major changes that seem to be taking from Rust’s primary game aspects. I’d like to quickly compare this quote with my game experience. Rust is pitched as follows,

Originally posted by Rust:
‘The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold.’

Don’t get me wrong. Surviving in Rust can be difficult but I don’t see how it’s against any of those elements listed. Survival in Rust is meant to be about survival against the elements AND other players but recently it seems to just be focused around the multiplayer aspect. Surviving against the elements in Rust seems to be almost too easy now. Don’t get me wrong, multiplayer makes games GREAT but I feel like Facepunch need to either step back and revisit the core of its game OR re-pitch their game as something other than a survival against the elements game.

A lot of you will disagree with my statement but I want to be clear, I still think Facepunch have done an amazing job with Rust and I can’t wait to see what they have in-store for the future. I just think they need to re-read how they describe their game.

At this current stage I rate Rust a 7.5/10

After accidently driving on the wrong side of the road in the tutorial, crashing my game by turning my truck into a 4x4 and truning to shortcut from Calsis (soz spelling) to Paris, and an additional 8 fully completed missions later I can say this game is more then meets the eye. Mission after mission I wanted to go back and do more and eventually I ended my missions streak because my Mum called me for Anti-Virus help, of course...

All in all I rate this game a 7/10, it works which is always good, keeps you entertained surprisingly and even made for a good laugh. Must say I came across a few textures missing including an invisible train (LOL) and other map background textures missing.

Its worth your money if you have some spare, good job Euro Truck Sim team!
