This game is very fun and uses a really unique concept I think a lot of people will enjoy. If you love platformers and are looking for something fresh this is for you.

Outbrk is a work of love crafted over several years by a passionate storm chaser, and his life-long friend who works in the gaming industry. I have watched the development closely for years, and I have played many many many iterations of this game. I knew from the early days that this would be a special game, because it goes where no storm chasing game has gone before. Other games throw pretty tornadoes in a sandbox and then say have fun. Outbrk however, focuses on being a mechanically complex game. While it may not be the prettiest game, it compensates through the most realistic storm chasing experience in gaming. The massive map that was hand-crafted boasts an insane 625km^2 size, five times the size of GTA V. But what really sets this game apart is its weather system. Tornadoes don't just show up like Roblox/GMOD/Twisted et al. These storms are being fed REAL data from REAL historical storms. This is a full-on weather simulator with realistic outputs, storm features, and intensity. What makes that even more special is the fact that one can use real meteorological and storm chasing knowledge to know what to do, and how to properly intercept a storm. No other game can do that. That alone is why Outbrk is worth your time. There is a lot of room to grow with the game, and it is not perfect. But it truly is a labor of love, and one of the most impressive games I've ever seen be built.

Don’t listen to the negative reviewers. Their reviews are all based on politics and other stupid things completely irrelevant to the game. Relic have given an us an amazing expansion with The Sultans Ascend. Not only do we get amazing additional campaign content, we get 2 deeply unique new civs, and 4 wonderful alternatives to existing ones. That’s an insane amount of content for only $15. It feels like AOE4 has new life now with all this fun content to explore. It feels like everyone is learning the game together again. I highly recommend this DLC.

This game has its ups and downs, but for the most part it is not a very enjoyable game. I was expecting a more immersive simulation of chasing, but I think Storm Chasers misses the mark. The storm structure is non-existence, all the tornadoes are about the same. The world feels small and unlively. There's no AI, no other players to make it immersive. You have to play 4 missions before you can even start multiplayer. The single player missions are more of a hassle than they are fun or a learning experience. It makes no sense that you have to buy radar, and it makes no sense that your camera only gets 20 photos. The gameplay design is not thought through very well, its restrictive and boring. There is nothing very free about this game. We want a more open, more realistic experience. What we have now is an upgraded Garry's Mod SC. As a storm chaser who has stood in the presence of a massive supercell and seen a tornado, this game comes nowhere near bringing the real feeling of storm chasing. The game also only rewards you for playing dangerously or for glorifying destruction. Most chasers would love a wide shot of a tornado and the structure around it, over a nice open field, not so close you're about to die. The tornadoes in SC are nice, the map looks nice graphically, but the game is really skin stretched over no skeleton. I am interested to see where it goes in the future, but for now I would highly advise against purchasing this game.

If you like super-realistic gameplay like ARMA, fast-paced action like CoD, strategic team play like Battlefield or CSGO, then this game is the Messiah of video games. I got this game for free over a year ago and I find myself constantly returning to play it despite owning many new games over that time. The intense fun that this game delivers puts triple A titles to shame. This game is $15 bucks, and the devs give out free content all the time. They have no paid DLC. Free maps, free weapons, tons of fun. I feel as if I stole this game by getting it for free from humble bundle. It's worth far more than $15, not to mention it's constantly going on sale!

Let's look at all the content this $15 game gives you:
Countless maps(with more coming)
Several awesome and balanced guns(with possibly more coming further down the line)
Online PvP
Online PvE
Offline PvE
Tonnes of gamemodes(with occasional additions of new game modes)
Legal Workshop mods

Let's not forget that the PvP and PvE modes are almost two entirely different beasts in this game. In PvP you have to face other players, using advanced tactics and teamwork to outsmart your enemies to win in a game where map knowledge and tactics are key. While PvE deals with 4-12 players(and more on custom servers) facing off against VERY SMART bots in several different game modes different from PvP. That's right, both PvP and PvE have their own unique set of game modes to give more content!

PvE may sound pretty easy, but I assure you the bots are not stupid by any means. They are easily the smartest bots of any shooter I've played. They know how to take cover, retreat, fight in groups, pre fire, how to properly place grenades and rockets, how to locate gunshots, and more! These AI are almost as good as other human beings playing the game. It makes for a load of fun and challenging missions, often times leaving a more rewarding victory than PvP modes.

Finally, the thing that gives this game even MORE content: making the game truly yours through workshop mods. Yes, almost all workshop mods are available for use in PvP and PvE modes(player model changes can only be used in PvE however). You can apply gun camos, player camos(to clarify, camos are allowed in PvP, but not changes to the models themselves), sight remodels, and even gun replacements. For example, you can "replace" the AK-74 with the AK-12. Or you can make your Security team soldiers have a US Navy SEAL camo. Let's not forget sound mods! Yes, sound mods are in the game as well. I recommend the realistic sound mod and the all-time Classic "Allahu ackbar" mod, which makes Insurgents scream the phrase when throwing explosives.

So as anyone can see, this game is a boatload of fun, and it truly gives far more to the player than any other game I've played. No microtransactions, not a lot of misbalance, good optimization, and most decent rigs can run it. If you're into shooters, especially more tactical and realistic ones, then you'd be a fool not to buy this game.

11/10.
