Rapidly closing in on 2,000 hours (about 1900 on BNet) in this game for reference. So uh... I guess that makes me qualified to give a review on it?

The good:

- Very satisfying gunplay, on just about every archetype in the game.
- Tons and I mean TONS of content, especially if you're a completionist like I am.
- Beautiful visuals if you care about that sort of thing.
- A lot of the game has become free to play in the latest update so you really have nothing to lose.
- VERY transparent developer in Bungie and a for the most part friendly and helpful community.

The bad:

- Sandbox updates have previously only happened with every new season, one of such being a time span of about three months. This has led to either PvP or PvE getting very dominated by a handful of guns in the past. Now that Bungie are entirely independent that might change, but that remains to be seen.
- If you do decide to sink a lot of time into this game you will inevitably come across a few QoL issues and the occasional infuriatingly long grind.

The ugly:

- It's literal crack. Steer clear if you want to keep any semblance of a social life.

All around stunning game and hands down the best of the series.

Picked Insurgency up ages ago for 1.5€ on ♥♥♥ and I regret so much not having touched it earlier. If you're a fan of FPS games and have enough of CoD, BF etc or just want to try something different, definetely give Insurgency a shot.

All jokes aside, you should definetely buy TW2 and at least give it a shot. Why is that?

-great combat (with a decent learning curve)
-good story (or rather decent)
-stunning visuals (even on lower settings)
-replayability (2 major "paths")
-ARENA MODE (<33333)

122 hours tracked and haven´t even gotten through half of the storyline, it's just so much fun exploring the world, going on a mad killing spree through all of Skyrim (still working on it :D), etc. If you've never played Skyrim, WHY NOT?! Definetely look into Nexus Mods though, some mods such as SkyUI are just mandatory, vanilla is really (and I mean REALLY) badly ported.

Played the non-steam version for years. SO. MUCH. FUN. Definetely a recommendation.

Nah, just kidding. Really fun, despite the gunmechanics being a little weird for todays standards.

Feels like taking drugs... I guess... (never have, please don't call the police, really). Loads of fun for short bursts, long-time "meh".

Only CoD i played, quite fun for shorter periods. I don´t know the current state of the game, but as i played it more regularly there have been many boosting-lobbies around. Overall good fun, i r8 360/420, m8.

Legacy is really fun (havent tried experimental much), the only downside for me is that the grass is taking so much performance (quite bad for pple like me who have a kinda bad pc).
