I'm a freshmen at my uni and my parents are extremely wealthy, and I'm absolutely rocking the student look, much like r/NavyBlazer, but a far more expensive wardrobe. I care about the aesthetic, but I've used beats a while, and they are near the same quality as the Sennheiser's. Self gratification is a huge part of who I am. If from time to time I don't splurge on myself, it messes with my dynamic. Appearances because the socioeconomic class I'm from is focused on appearances. I appreciate your suggestions, but I dress extremely well and my fitness and appearance is of utmost priority to me...unless I'm eating pizza...pineapple pizza. Have a GF, am charismatic. I spend my time and money doing what I please, if that's buying beats, giving to charity or making it rain on strippers. People new to the world of headphones and hi-fi have to start somewhere and I think it's so great to be able to seek advice from a community of people who know their ♥♥♥♥ and are not trying to sell you anything. If seeking advice as part of the usual magazine/forum/amazon rounds is offensive is depriving you of oxygen, then ♥♥♥♥ you, jerkoff.

People who genuinely love a subject--be it a subgenre of music or a type of car--love nothing more than sharing their knowledge and helping newcomers. It's only those who feel threatened or have some type of narcissistic disorder as to put newcomers down.
