I wrote this game off for a while and it sat in my steam library as another game I would revisit. The time is here and I have revisited. If I had more time I would play more. The game has a fun variety of classes and I often found myself gravitating towards a Ranger as it is the easiest class. The beginning of every run was fairly mind-numbing and I appreciate the trivial dungeons being skipped when a high enough level. You do kind of plateau again in the later levels when you have some fairly good gear where the trickiest enemies are the legendary mobs and bosses at the end of dungeons. I have had many a runs where I quit paying attention just to be gloriously two shot by a legendary/elite mob. The later boss fights get incredibly intense. In particular the Warlord Conqueror drained my resources and was one of the most challenging fights I had and made me feel very accomplished upon his defeat.

The middle to end-game is where the game shines and unfortunately it take a few hours to get going before you can truly enjoy it. Then the hardest decision comes in which you must decide if you should retire your hero to teach an entire skill line to future heroes or keep going and hope you don't die and risk your gear. I would say risk it all, however I was pleasantly surprised to see I didn't just risk it all as my 2nd level 15+ hero died and became a teacher as a ghost. It makes the world feel very alive to leave the graves of previous heroes and gear that becomes a part of their legend that you can recollect. If you maxed out a town's prosperity and that hero died they will replace the town fountain with a statue of that hero. I have yet to beat the game and earlier on I attempted some hardcore runs which are incredibly difficult because the Dungeonman's academy is destroyed and non-existent in that world.

Other things to try out is the breeding of companion chickens. I enjoyed my time with the mechanic, but the RNG with skills on said companions make it incredibly frustrating at times. I have yet to delve into the map system yet which as far as I have gathered is modifiers for dungeons to make it more difficult and also get better loot in return. The ability to alter the world map as well is very nice for those pesky mountains blocking your path so you don't have to travel around them all the time.

This Dev has poured years into this game and it shows. It's a true passion project and I am more than happy with the content it has.

TL;DR This game is incredibly fun with varied builds. The early game is a bit of a slog, however the mid to late game is incredibly detailed and fairly challenging. The world feels fairly alive with changes you can make with your previous heroes and you can see the legend they leave behind when your hero tragically or mundanely passes.

I like this game, but getting to base and back out into the area of operation for your tasks is quite tedious. The parts when you are having fun is looting and shooting. The parts of this game that aren't fun is fighting your own teammates for AI kills on tasks, crashes that causes your progression to fail to load and resetting tasks, "Negative, All Birds are in the air", and fighting your own faction members just for a helicopter to head out or go to base. They seemed to have tried to remedy this with a queue system that did not work at all and just ended up being 14 minute long waiting times for a helicopter and now they reversed it I think because it's back to just telling me no when there isn't a helicopter available. They need to really fix and change this transportation system it is bad right now. The game is good and I recommend it, but man it needs some heavy work.

With the state of most indie games I expected this game to just be a 6-8 hour boomer shooter romp. I am so glad that I was wrong. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and blown away by the level design going from the first act and into the second. The game is fun, you can make a few decent builds with your character and the exploration is rewarding. The voice acting and inclusion of some friendly NPCs really help flesh out the world. Overall, great game and definitely worth the price I say.

If you happen to have any recent generation Intel i9 chip I would steer clear of this game. Just like Tekken 8 you will experience constant crashing from a failure to extract a shader or for whatever reason the game claiming you run out of GPU Memory. While there is a slight fix in reducing your performance core ratio this game isn't really worth that hassle at this point. The game is very bare bones with a single map and if you are looking for similar polish. gameplay and gun play to Tarkov then it simply is not here yet.

People are looking at this game through rose-tinted glasses. When the game first came out it was certainly new and unique. However, today it is glaringly obvious how dated the mechanics are and how clunky the climbing, combat and assassination mechanics are today. The climbing is so slow that I did not want to do any of the synchronizations and cannot express how many times you get caught on random parts of buildings with no way to move yourself to a very simple ledge right next to you or the amount of times you will just get stuck climbing on a ledge. The assassinating was so over the top annoying and frustrating at time that I actively avoided many of the ground assassination missions in favor of doing the other information missions with a lot of techniques that would seem intuitive missing like air assassination meaning I'd have to drop down and get spotted. On top of that, the constant freezing as others have mentioned makes the game borderline unplayable and just frustrating. You can look up the story and synopsis online, however I would not recommend playing this entry if you want to play through the series again. Assassin's Creed 2 was definitely a huge leap in fluidity and gameplay in comparison with much more options provided to the player. To give credit where credit is due the setting, voice acting and soundtrack is great. I, like many, played this game when it first released on Xbox 360 and at that time it was phenomenal. Today it simply does not hold up and you'd be better starting the series from the 2nd entry.

This is by far one of the best games I have played in a long time. You have the minor gripes of all of your followers being so damned horny and wanting to jump into your pants. You have the unfortunate moments of rolling a one on a skill check or saving throw and catastrophically dying. You also have some incredibly compelling writing, lovable characters and those amazing perfect roll moments that cause you to yell out in excitement. I have not put this many hours in a game in a long time and can happily recommend this game to anyone. If you want to be entranced in a story and beautiful fantasy world then this game is for you.

This game is good. It's wonderful being able to make your own investigation board, acting like a private detective outside of the law, collecting evidence, managing time. There are still bugs abound though. Some side jobs you do for cash might just not spawn the objective item as I found out from others and my own experience. It is a good immersive sim experience though and if you love that genre then get this game.
