This game gets a "meh" award. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either.

I was getting weird crashes that don't seem to happen anymore, but another major complaint I had, which was wrong hitboxes, weren't fixed, and given that this is a competitive pvp with some action elements, this is a no-no for me. F2P players can get good units, but it takes a long, long time. It's the kind of dedication that motivates you for a while, then suddenly makes you hate the game for forcing you to commit to it and almost nothing else. This game needed way too many hours in order to do everything you needed daily, etc.

And the graphics aren't great, but the game is kinda heavy regardless. I've played more beautiful, and more optimized games.

It's an overrated RNG fest. Do yourself a favor and play Pokemon Final Defense.

If I were really smart I would have refunded this b4 reaching 2 hrs, but the stupid hype of my friends who eventually dropped this just made me dump money I can never get back. It's soulless, draining, but still an important title for the genre. But not that great.
Also, 2021 and it still crashed for no reason. What a ridiculous game.

I take back most of what I said, the gameplay is decent, no wonder they made a sequel. But spawning nearly infinite zombies out of no-freaking-where just to keep the action going so that your NPC friend gets overwhelmed and die because they won't stop coming for nearly 2 minutes is just annoying and stupid, not to mention the horde (semi-pun intended) of bugs and glitches + weird aiming and other bad stuff.
I will put more details once I cool off from this piece of ♥♥♥♥. The only reason I am still playing it is because I want to experience all modes possible of the DLCs then "ditch this ♥♥♥♥♥ and go home", like the girl NPC Sam said.

Get this only for a sale price and if you have nothing better to do. But then again, if you do, don't play this game slowly, rush it as fast as you can so you can get angry at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs before the 2hrs refund time and understand you aren't missing anything. Don't even bother scavenging all spots. Just go, play, and refund. You'll thank me.

**THE NEW TRANSMOG IS GREEDY AND TERRIBLE!*

Not only they paywalled the cool stuff AGAIN (subclasses), but they also vaulted stuff people paid for. There are far better examples of F2P models on how to release content and still monetize around it, and this is not one. The core game is still solid and fun, but sadly it's more like a husk. Bungie didn't change anything after it broke free from Activision.
There is SO MUCH LESS content for F2P players to do it's mind-boggling! We could do the Forge, The Menagerie,Trials of the Nine, that cool quest in Io to get sniper, stuff that wasn't that great, but I still did and it wasn't too terrible, and now it's gone!

For some reason my review disappeared..

7/10 it is good, but I would wait for a sale. And I never pre-order as most recent big releases are always underwhelming. But if you did enjoy Dying Light, 2 may be a good thing to get once it releases. We'll see.

The gameplay is decent, but the enemy variety is not that great. The ending of the main campaign is AWFUL, and sometimes the grappling hook won't shoot, making you just fall and take tons of damage. The online co-op makes you notice that the animations are mostly just good in first person, because looking at your friends doing parkour and stuff is usually very weird and poorly animated. The on-line pvp mode with the Be The Zombie is very, very meh, because it's essentially "who's best at QTE" in a way.

Story is OK, not that great, but not bad. Voice acting is overall good, sound quality is overall good. Exploring the first half is really cool, but some gameplay stuff that happens in single player killed the fun for me. Also, during some of the campaign moments you are supposed to do stuff before X hours or days or everybody would die or whatever, but it's just a bluff. Most of the time you can still explore and do whatever you want before progressing in the story, killing whatever tension it could have had.

You see, this game has some RPG elements which you level up some stats while you run, kill stuff, or get some packages for XP. And what happens is that the most efficient way to get XP is by repeating a part of a "dungeon" mission which has 3 xp packages before you even encounter any enemy, exit, re-enter and the packages reload, then you farm as much as you need, because it will take way too long to grind what you want. But because the enemies seem to always scale alongside your level, those improvements sometimes are not even noticed, including weapon damage. Oh, yeah! Getting your favorite weapons can feel useless because the game knows they are usually "overpowered", so during the most important battles in the story you are just stripped away from them. This game has lots of cheap tricks to force balancing.

Some enemies only show up once you progress through the story, so again the best moment to farm or grind is at the beginning of the game when night never arrives, and neither do the crazy running wall-climbing zombies, making, like I said, the most efficient way to farm or grind the least exciting one. If you did not know about this stuff, like I didn't when I first started, and just progress normally, your experience will be much better! And once you spawn the running zombies guns become very useless because shooting will spawn one, making them infinite, since they are supposed to be attracted by the noise. Also, with all the farming I did, I think I would have wiped out the entire population of the city already. Of course they respawn zombies so you won't ever walk in an empty city, but this sometimes happens with a place YOU JUST CLEARED, then you look around and OH LOOK THEY JUST RESPAWNED RIGHT NEXT TO ME, COOL.

However the beginning is still kind of annoying because with the weapon crates you open you will only find wrenches and pipes all the time EVERYWHERE AND NOTHING ELSE, because the boxes level up with you. The cool stuff takes some time to drop. Also, once you learn the best spots for farming certain things, the rest of the big map starts losing its charm, and you feel like "MAN I HAVE NO EFFIN REASON TO GO THAT FAR, IMMA JUST FARM HERE AND WAIT TILL IT RESETS SO I CAN FARM AGAIN" even in the highest difficulties, the items still reset once a day restarts. And like I mentioned, the first part has no nights, but you check your wrist watch to see if the day cycled. If the highest difficulty had no item respawn whatsoever, I guess that this would have enhanced its survival aspects by a lot. Once again, playing this game as casual and straightforward as you can is usually the best way to enjoy it.

tl;dr this game has some boring parts if you learn how to farm and grind more efficiently, specially for NG+, but the core game is overall still good, and I recommend it during a sale. this game was one of my main offlines to play or when I wanted to play something while doing a heavy download with a slower connection speed back then. 7/10.

I can say that my marriage survived this game. We got all 3 stars in everything, including all DLCs and we are waiting a bit to get Overcooked 2. What this game doesn't kill, it makes stronger!

Gunplay feels weird. The class system is way too shallow, and it feels just as another generic Battle Royale.

FORGET EVERYTHING I SAID ABOUT THIS TRASH. THIS GAME HAS BECOME RNG FEST WHERE TALENT, BUILDING AND STRATEGY ARE OVERWHELMED BY CHANCE EFFECT CARDS. THIS IS JUST RAGE INDUCING NOW. And Power Creep.

In short, it is good if you focus on one deck and learn how to get gold. The MTX aren't that p2w if you know what you are doing on building a competitive deck. But, the amount of players with top tier decks in the middle of middle-tier competitive format is a bit annoying. I wish matchmaking had some sort of deck rating too.
If you don't know what you are doing, it won't be fun.
