bots (and human cheaters with expensive items and years old accounts) running open source, publicly available cheating/botting software are allowed to cheat, spam voice and text chat with slurs, and doxx people with impunity for 5+ years while valve's terrible matchmaking system actively aids these cheaters in making official servers completely unplayable.

votekicking is slow, unreliable, glitchy, and not to mention impossible against a full 6 party stack. spectator mode is disabled, making it harder to easily identify cheaters. valve also decided to double down on this in the october 27th, 2023 update by removing the extendfreeze command which allowed you to stay in the death spectator camera longer which could be used to identify potential cheaters.

I could go on and on about the issues plaguing this game that go even beyond the cheating and botting thanks to valve's abhorrent neglect and braindead decision making. fix your ♥♥♥♥ valve.
