As a big fan of the half-life games this remake is pretty good, i really like the new designs in some levels, the new interactions with NPCs and the aditions of some mechanics present in half-life 2, like the power cable in the "on a rail" chapter.

However there is one big problem for me, the game is just too dark, even darker than the original HL, I couldn't play more than 1 hour at the time because my eyes would hurt so bad from straining to see in the dark, there are parts of the game that its just unbearably dark and even tweaking the settings wouldn't help.

Overall it's a pretty good game.

I hope one day valve will learn to count to 3
