Asset flip + throwing any trending gameplay around with the depth of a puddle. Avoid.

A classic example of hidden indie gem. There are plenty of other reviews that goes into detail about the various great features of this title, so there is no need for yet another one. To put it simply, this is the perfect marriage of a pixel top down adventure game and a colony sim with automation.

You go around adventuring and progress is dictated by the boss you defeat, but then, the in-between is expanding and managing you colony so that it's self sufficient and well defended. You can completely skip the colony part, if you want, and simply grind through the resource required to upgrade your equipment.

Goes without saying that this game is plenty more fun with others and support also a dedicated server option in case you want the world to be persistent and not bound to just one of the player hosting the others.

Great title all around.

This game was promising in having an approach more focused on having advantage in engagement, ambush and tense and quick firefights (1 shot 1 kill) but over time it has become just apex in the wild west.

World and Lore are fantastic, would love one or more single player spin off in which you can immerse and discover more of it.

Great game. Needed a good story driven game, got a decent one but with an incredibly fun gameplay (combat, swinging) and a near perfect transposition of the spider-man "mood" from the source material.

So, I held off this purchase for the first two months because I didn't want to give in to root level anti-cheat software that get installed on your PC, the specific one have had plenty of issues in the past, and it didn't really inspire trust to me.

The game is great per se and peer pressure in the end made me give up and buy it. I played enough time to confidently say that it's a really good game IF you have some friends to play with. Otherwise, it's a nice one but to be honest really just too much at risk of depending on how the rest of the team of random is willing to play together rather that just each one doing their own thing.

The game also has plenty of issues that are quite serious and still not getting fixed, giving priority to other things. We are talking about misaligned aim, damage not working, weapons and stratagem (high powered on-call weapons) that suffer from huge unbalancing between them, resulting in just a few of them being "favoured" among the rest and so on.

On top of this, today they announce that until now the Sony Account wasn't really enforced but, by the end of the month, it will be for "our security". Our, the users. PSN is one of the most hacked platforms in terms of sensible data theft and clearly is not needed for the game to function at all. So, this is just Sony imposing on the devs so they can gather and resell users data to further increase their profit.

Overall, unless you really are intrigued by the game, stay away. Not for the game merits or flaws per se, as they kind of balance themselves out, but for how the management behind it is acting in a very anti-consumer way, as it's tradition for Sony.

At this point it's some months I have just uninstalled.
The game gives all you can get in 30–50 hours, depending on your pace in progressing.
After the initial surprise and immersion, you will realise that it's shallow as a puddle, unfortunately.
Tactical gameplay is basically: Run to a target and do it, run away to the next. Ignore anything in between unless if really blocks you. Use stratagem to AOE when enough stuff is chasing you, and they are packed together.

That's about it. It would be fine for a “premium” title (game that release, and it's completed and finished) but this want to be a live service which means this is a big fat failure, unfortunately.

There would be plenty to discuss like bad balancing that prioritize nerfing stuff that is too strong instead of balance for FUN. The fact that devs want to make a sandbox-like game in which you are given tools, and you approach the game as you want. Except all tools are just one. Blow stuffs up. Not that much fun after the nth times you do it.

So, overall, unless in heavy discount (10£ or so) stay away. It will end as Helldivers 1 that basically is abandoned, and you just play a match alone or with some weird dude from the other side of the world, once in a new moon.

There are plenty of other good games. Just for coop, you can try Deep Rock Galactic for a live service game that has developers that are ethical in how they treat their players.

This game is a perfect sum of all the good bits from Diablo 2, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Path of Exile and some original parts that are clearly developed by people that love and enjoyed play this genre of games up until now. It has still some rough edges, but the developers communicate clearly and honestly to the player base and listen to feedback. It is a great game to play and has tremendous potential. If you love this kind of games, you'll love this one.

It's absolutely broken as you can basically solo the content but beside that, it's finally here.

Each weapon has two models, basically changing only some minor details, and each model two colours.
The armours are all basically the same with just a notable exception. The headpieces are quite well done and varied instead, which is appreciated.

There is terrible lack in cosmetics to be obtained doing achievements which is disappointing (just the white armour).

Overall I would have expected a bit more.

This game could have been quite fun but the lazyness of not adding a very simple thing like mouse support is really incredible.

It would be perfectly usable with a mouse if they just allowed to select the sensitivity and allow to always show the cursor.
Just that.

Instead, they simply decided that "♥♥♥♥ M&K". For a computer game.
