I really love the Homeworld IP and wanted this game to be just as good if not better then the past 4 games. Sadly at its current state it is not. Story mode took about 8 hours to get done on medium difficulty and feel so much more could have been told. It was a lackluster story for the most part. Visually the game is great and the controls they fixed from demo to launch is in a better place, but there still is a massive amount of other issues as well that makes this a no for me. Im sure other reviews will be similar to this aspect

The Ships and the Upgrades in the game don't feel like a step up at all from the ships in the past IP's. We want these big space battles and what not and if feels likes its just not there with what they gave us

MP however is broken. AI feels like cheaters for the most part which breaks skirmish mode. Offline skirmish has no save so even if you do have a big battle going you cant do anything about that.

Wargames, the new game mode, can be fun but the lobby system and combat with ships in it needs rework.

Overall I cant suggest this to anyone. If you are a true fanboy on this IP you probably already on it and are hoping like me for a massive QoL update to address the big issues.

Once a QoL comes out review may change but as of now we will continue to wait. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope BBI and Gearbox can turn this around

Played during free weekend and got sucked in. Great game and love the single player story. Its your city builder mixed in with terraforming mars much like planet crafter.

Just got a steam decka and wanted something that looked fun to play. For the price this checks all the marks. If you have a steam deck i would say this games is a must for it

Played the beta weekends for the past few months with 60+ hours. Its not your typical survival game but have been having fun and enjoying it. As for bugs nothing ground breaking that i have seen. Yes you can get stuck in an object, but from what RocketWerkz has been doing as an Indie developer i give them much praise from the feed back and bugs they have fixed from the beta weekends

so far the test has been super fun. Few issues with voice chat that i have noticed. Static and what not. Also the cross hair color seems to blend much in the background. Would be nice if users can change this in future patch or final release to whatever color they enjoy. Other then that super fun and arcadey. A mic of the old classic Contra with some play style of Diablo

just recently got a vr headset and friends told me to try it out. Great way to enjoy your fun dungeon style quest with friends and can even get a work out too. Great way to have fun and burn some fat during these crazy times.

You are no hero and makes you work to survive. Recommend doing tutorial before diving in. Very fun and addicting. Even better with a friend.

EDIT: Wish there was more updates or dlc coming to this game. Still great game and much fun with a friend

Very fun game that sucks you in and before you know it 4 hours have passed.
