Overall a very solid and fun LEGO game that could've been fantastic if not bogged down by several key issues.

The Skywalker Saga looks and plays great. It's mostly a typical LEGO experience, with a few changes - the biggest being that the camera is no longer forced perspective. This makes the gameplay more fluid than previous titles, allowing for more of a traditional 3D platforming experience. That's a win in my book. This game also introduces a semi open-world design that'll have you hopping around 20+ planets as you progress through the story. Each one is it's own little sandbox that are a lot of fun to romp around in. This design choice comes with a caveat, however.

The levels are short - and I mean EXTREMELY short. Going back and revisiting them in free play made it abundantly clear that Skywalker Saga's focus was placed mostly on exploring the different planets and doing various side objectives. I'd wager most of your game time will be spent running around in galaxy free play. This isn't inherently a bad thing, but I know I'm not alone in wishing for just a little bit more from the levels themselves.

While this game is lots of fun, it does have it's flaws. I have to mention this game's various technical issues. They are plentiful and I experienced many throughout my playthrough. Expect unavoidable low frame rates and frame drops in numerous areas. I also got many minor glitches while playing, but luckily nothing game breaking. The same cannot be said for many others. It's been over 3 weeks since launch without a single patch, and unfortunately, I find that to be unacceptable. Many people have been unable to finish the game due to technical issues.

This game also gets points off for a few other things. Firstly, the multiplayer in this game is not great and was clearly an afterthought during development. This is a shame, since LEGO games are known for their drop in, drop out couch style co-op. Player 2 frequently has nothing to do but watch player 1 as they complete sections of the game by themselves. This is a huge miss. Also, I can't help but think that the lack of online multiplayer was a missed opportunity. Lastly, the game lacks custom characters, which is a basic feature present in previous LEGO Star Wars titles.

Overall it's a lot of fun and I recommend playing it - but it could've been a better game.

Cannot recommend this game enough. Buy it on sale. Play. Cry.

This is one of those games that is an experience. You will always remember the first time you played it - what you were thinking and how it felt. It's special in that way. However, The Walking Dead is not without its faults. Not everything works here. For the MOST part, the choices in this choice-based game don't matter (with a few major exceptions). The gameplay and animations can feel a little clunky. Not all the dialogue is great. But where this games shines, oh boy does it shine.

What keeps you engaged is the narrative and characters. Seasons 1, 2, and 4 are FANTASTIC. There's some really great writing on display. Watching Clementine grow up and become stronger and smarter is one of the most gripping, rewarding, and heartfelt character arcs in all of gaming. When this game ends, and the realization sets in that it's over, and you can never play it for the first time again, that's when it hits you. The Walking Dead is something special.

Absolutely recommend, 8.5/10

This game ticks all the right boxes for me. Little Nightmares is an atmospheric, 2.5D platformer with some great world-building and fantastic visual appeal. The story, while simple, is intriguing enough to keep you guessing while you platform, puzzle, and hide. It boasts incredible sound design and art direction (especially for some of the other characters you meet along the way). This game is light on the scares but makes up for it with its atmosphere and tense encounters. There are a few excellent set piece moments as well.

One slight gripe I have is that I wish the controls were just slightly more fine-tuned. Nothing terribly frustrating or immersion breaking, though.

This game is a must buy for horror fans or if you're looking for games similar to Playdead's LIMBO and INSIDE. 9/10
