It's good to see that 2024 is continuing the trend of small studio games having such a big impact on the industry. This game is the perfect ARPG for those who want a big more than what Diablo 4 can offer, but aren't smart enough to be able to play Path of Exile.

The recent negative reviews are just because of the server issues, but once EHG fixes those (they're already starting to get things under control), this game is going to be a runaway hit.

Is this really a new NES game in 2019? Hell ya it is!

This game is only 40kb in size, but feels way more than that. It has a kickin' soundtrack, controls well, and is overall an even better game than what was typically released on the NES at that time. Has a great nostalgic feeling to it that is challenging, but not overwhelming.

They give you the ROM file as well, so if you have a real NES and an Everdrive N8/Powerpak, you can get a legit experience on real hardware. This is the way I recommend playing this game, though the included emulator as more than sufficient too.

Would very much recommend this! I hope the devs start driving into mapper usage to give us even crazier new NES games going forward.

There are some people who will complain about the price increase, etc, but I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about that. What you guys should know that, as a sci-fi fan, this game plays right into that fantasy.

Yes, the AI sucks, but to be honest I don't care. The game is fun and thats what matters.

This game, in its current state, is an unstable piece of ♥♥♥♥. I can't even get past the train station cutscenes without the game crashing or Windows complaining that my system has ran out of memory.

Frankly I'm tired of having to replay the same section repeatedly because the game crashed before it created a new checkpoint.

Oh, and a cash shop in $60 single player game is classy. Its fine to charge for DLC that adds actual content and value to a game. $5 for a tranq rifle and some bullets isn't cool and shouldn't be tolerated. The good news is you can ignore the existance of the shop and still have fun playing the game.

I'll change my review once Nixxes fixes the game.

EDIT: I was able to get past the train station by turning down some settings, which I really shouldn't have needed to do. The game was running just fine with everything on Ultra except the cutscene crashes.

I'm going to change it to a Yes because the game does work if you turn down the settings a bit. Nixxes really needs to take a good hard look at the PC version of this game and fix it.

I personally didn't like this game. When you have to hit google to just get your feet wet then there is something to be said for the game's design. I'm sure for those that know what they're doing this game would be good, but if you are new the game can get very daunting. The developers should really provide an ingame tutorial before going to a server, at least then you'd have some understanding of how the game works before getting thrown to the wolves.

Holy hell this game is good. Release quality game and they're still not finished with it. If you get bored with the base game there are literally thousands of mods for you to enjoy.

Buy this game and play it, you'll get at least 100-200 hours of play out of your 20 bucks.

If this game had a shame meter, it would be full.

For some reason I'm not experiencing the bugs that many people are complaining about. The only issue I ran into is a crash when it played it's first pre-rendered cutscene. This was fixed by verifying the game's cache.

The remastered boss fights really round out this game. If you haven't taken the plung into buying DX:HR or have a copy now, I'd recommend picking up this game and playing it.

With the exception of the random, unexplained deaths that I sometimes incur, this game isn't that bad. I wish the Butt Stallion would have made an appearance later in the game :(
