Not worth the current price. Needs a lot of QoL and balancing changes, but otherwise it's kind of fun. Get it on sale or in a bundle.

really not as good as some people make it out to be, yeah it has good music and haha funny meme, but it's an ok hack n slash. if this game ever got a remaster with more finely tuned graphics and mechanics, i'd definitely buy, but that's probably out of the picture what with the state of the franchise.

The game starts off great. Heart Transplant in the default operating room is very fun, but still challenging. Kidney Transplant in the OR is a steep drop in design quality, requiring some annoying maneuvers but still pretty fun. Brain Transplant is a lot better, with a unique and fun challenge. Eye Transplant is similarly innovative, but may leave many confused on what to do without some sort of guide. Teeth Transplant is fine. Not great, but fine.

Next, you'll find yourself doing the exact same surgeries in the Corridor. I'll go through them again in order. Heart Transplant is still great, and the gimmick the Corridor level provides compliments it perfectly. Same goes for Kidney Transplant and Brain Transplant. Eye Transplant is somewhat frustrating, as you only get one supply of eyes, and if you lose them, it's a guaranteed restart. Teeth Transplant is somewhat samey, but not as frustrating, since the teeth you need never leave.

Next up is the Ambulance. I hate the Ambulance, and you should too. In the Ambulance, you have a totally random chance of a forced restart at similarly random intervals, because the one thing you needed to keep flew out the back of the vehicle. Heart Transplant isn't affected much by this gimmick if you're quick enough. Kidney Transplant is utter hell, requiring precision and maneuverability while simultaneously getting your arm thrown around like a kid on an incredibly unstable merry-go-round. Several runs on this level have failed simply because the fresh kidneys fell off the table. Sometimes the green syringe (which is used for stopping blood loss in the patient) will get thrown with your arm. If you even graze the side of the needle, your vision will get heavily distorted, making continuing the surgery nigh-impossible. As of writing this, I still have not beaten Kidney Transplant in the Ambulance, so I don't know about the others, but I imagine Brain Transplant would be fine and the last two would be frustrating as all hell, for the same reasons as the Kidney Transplant level. If this is only the second-to-last operating room, I can't imagine what the last one is like. Buy this game if it's on sale, it's pretty good until that point. I got this with a bundle that included Surgeon Simulator 2, so hopefully it's much better than this. As of my overall rating of Surgeon Simulator, I give this game an unbridled "meh."

edit: ok it stopped running. the amount of playtime i have is because closing the game doesnt actually end it, i only really played for 30 minutes. also the gameplay is kinda boring, gunplay is even worse, the only place where it excels is visuals and atmosphere. also i thought it was really funny when i shot one of the soldiers and they all just started to light me up and i died.

as a survival game, it is god-awful trash. as a rogue-like, its below average. as a game in general, its fine. it's frankly amazing how dani's level of quality in his games consistently never goes above average. it's kind of impressive how many parallels dani has to nintendo, of all things. they both helped to popularize and revolutionize a dying industry, they both have adoring fan-bases who would do anything for them and shun any and all criticism towards their one and only lord and savior, they both do some pretty bad ♥♥♥♥ that nobody ever seems to talk about, etc. in my honest opinion, dani is a stain on the indie community and should go back to making mobile games
