As of 11/30/2024 I have not only got this game for myself but at least 3 of my friends and managed to convince the rest of my friendgroup to get this game as well. I cannot recommend it enough for lovers of vampire survivors, magica, and helldivers! This game has been stupid fun and it's still very early in it's release and I strongly recommend it as a silly game to play with yourself and 3 of your favorite chaotic friends! Friendly fire, a variety of spells and wizards, as well as many outfits to unlock and the never-ending need to get as many aether beams and swords around you as possible drives you to play again and again.

I'm not a fancy review-writer but I cannot recommend this game enough. 10/10 would buy and play again and again and again. :)

Ps. Everyone I know says the soundtrack is a banger and right now it's only got the one song. I'm looking forward to seeing how this game develops in the future.

As someone who loved Helldivers 1 so much that everyone I know kept asking me how excited I was to play Helldivers II and I received it as a gift from a friend, this game is AWESOME. I was skeptical going into it, I thought too much was going to be changed, but this is the right amount of change from HD1. I have played this with my friends and we've all described it as HD1 but better!

There's more interaction with the maps, more activities to do in the session, and the 3rd person makes you feel like you are actively in the game fighting bugs, cyborgs, and robots. There's been a lot of 2nd releases of games that often times end up butchering the franchise, but this was not one of them.

Dislikes:
-Shared ammo among team
-Text chat is often unavailable in certain windows
-Can be confusing at times to tell who is who.
-You can no longer double up on stratgems.

Yes, right now on the second day of release there are some bugs (pun intended) but overall it is an insanely fun game to play and the graphics are GORGEOUS. It's honestly so much fun I've gotten at least 3 of my friends to buy the game without regret! If you got a group of friends to play with, you should get this game. Even if you don't you can join co-op on other teams, or this game is optimized enough that you can play by yourself! (This was something that was really hard to do in HD1) 10/10 would recommend.

Such a fun little game! You can get it on the app store on your phone for free but I've enjoyed it so much that I bought it here on steam. It's a no think type of game where you slowly build your character up until they are just a murder machine. I recommend this to anyone, really. If you wanna try it out, download it on your phone first, but I strongly recommend buying it on steam.

There is nothing quite like this and trust me I've tried looking. This game is beautiful with all of it's graphics, fun to play, and is the perfect sort of sandbox game for anyone who loves free exploration. I very much adore playing this game, I can set it down and come back at any time and I almost never get bored, especially with the ever-expanding map. I love the multi-player settings and it was so much fun to play with my friends. I 10/10 recommend giving it a try.
