Very nice implementation. Very relaxing and AI is not a pushover. A few bugs, but nothing game-breaking yet. Will take some time to get used to where to find things because it's not always intuitive, particularly the ruleset. Wish they would have designed the rulebook similar to how the real-life boardgame implements the rulebook. Each game (out of a 12 game campaign) takes about 30 minutes.

Love this game.

Hint: for those having a difficult time a few stages in, try completing the secondary objectives in each of the beginning stages. This unlocks more powerful units and tools.

Enjoyed the game, though I wonder how much my $6 really bought.

Graphics looked great, long story, and a quasi-open world feel. Quite a few fetch quests but they fit will in the game and never felt like a chore. Very nice array of boss monsters, each with their own tendancies. Will take about 25-30 hours to complete the game.

Fighting mechanics are tight, or tight enough for me, but they need more controller options for the skills. What I mean is that there are more skills available that the button mappings allow to use. So, if you want to use a skill that is not mapped, you have to open a skill/item wheel and select it. That takes away from the flow of the fight.

While the developers taught rebalanced loot, I found that there was a scythe and gauntlet that I received about half-way through the game that I preferred and had better stats than any of the loot, even loot of a higher "level", that I found the rest of the way through the game. There was a lot of throw-away loot. Even possessed weapons didn't provide the stats necessary to take the place of my preferred weapons.

Only ran into a couple bugs - 1) An NPC got stuck in a wall. Quit and came back in and he was free. 2) There was a cut scene where some of the dialogue and sound effects went missing. Had to restart a few times before it straightened itself out.

The game also crashed one time, but only once and loaded right back up.

All in all, I really enjoy the Darksiders series, both I and II, and hope that the new owners of the franchise work towards a third game.

Not the best hidden object game out there, but good enough that you'll want to finish it. It does have a couple interesting tack-ons, such as the Elements, and a couple tough puzzles, particularly towards the end.

Art is decent and I didn't find the HO scenes too dark, which can absolutely ruin a HO game.

There are only two difficulty levels - Easy and Hard. Hard is more like Casual in other HO games. Hints are available, and without penalty, an auto-hint will alert your next move if you take too long in a room, and the map notates rooms that have a current puzzle or object available.

As a couple others have stated, the story is rather ludicrous, but worst is the voice acting. Now, Frogwares, I'm sure you didn't have a large budget for the voice acting, but you could have at least had the actors slow down a little and use the punctuation properly when they were speaking. It was like they were speed reading the script.

Lastly, I was very disappointed with the end. It just kind of...ended.

Not one of Artifex's best publications, but maybe it's because they didn't actually work on the game.

Only took a little over 3 hours (don't rely on hours on record as I accidently left the game running in the background). No hints were needed, however, playing any mode other than Expert will reveal where there are actions to be taken on the map. That in itself acts as a hint system. Didn't know this when I selected the Advanced mode.

Voice acting is ridiculously bad, especially the end "boss". You can hear the muffling into the microphone. I busted out laughing when he started talking. Script isn't much better.

No bugs, so that's a positive. Art is okay. It's definitely in the very casual bucket of games. I'll still give it a thumbs up because it did hold my attention enough to finish it, but there are definitely better Hidden Picture games out there.

Best writing and voicing of an in-game character I can remember over my 30 years of gaming. That alone gets the game a thumbs up. Game mechanics, fun level, rpg-elements and deck building that matters is just icing on the cake.

Fun little time waster, but, please, for the love of all that's holy, correct the spelling errors. Even one of the Steam cards has a misspelling. smh...

Not enough word games out there. This one is fun, challenging and keeps you interest with increasing diffulty and the RPG elements.
