Let's start by saying that the story isn't perfect.
And then let's just say that some of the endings are at times, leaps where things happened -> after the game's story -> that lead to that ending

Now that, that is done, I'd say this is a game worth playing for the story and the endings ;-)
This was the first visual novel I fully completed. And although, the explanation of the world (and the magic) can be too much at times -

• Your choices seem meaningful
  
• The characters' personality ring true (although some endings show it more properly than the others)
  
• The background of the world and social class makes sense and feels realistic
  
• The romance is kept at the really realistic level, no jumping the gun
  
• Most importantly, you start to feel for the characters (espcially Franz)

The true ending was in all sense, good. It linked perfectly, though the soft part of me would have wished that it was happier [The strange as hell ending, unlocked after this helps fix your mood. Thanks for that developer!].

I think I have only one main problem with the game. I wanted there to be more to the story.
