Played the first and started with the second game from release day and have loved pretty much every moment of it.

In general, it's a solid co-op shooter that asks you to dance around robots and bugs while accomplishing objectives on each level you play on. While there's way more enemies than Helldivers, you can call in support in the form of bigger weapons, even bigger weapons launched from space, or air support in the form of bombardments/large caliber gunfire to deal with large groups or large single targets.

Going alone on higher difficulties requires a lot more discipline and planning than the experience really intends, so I recommend bringing friends or taking your chances with matchmaking.

The live-service gameplay comes in the form of the "galactic war" where campaign progress is earned/lost for all players, not just your game session. This encourages players to try to coordinate their efforts a little, but the in-game prompts help with this too. It also supports "warbonds" which are sets of unlockable weapons, armors, and cosmetics, but unlike "battle passes", are not time-limited. They are bought using a premium currency, warbonds for about $10 USD, or earned by playing in-game and collecting them as you play through missions.

It is a little rough; they are constantly working on balancing weapons which can be frustrating, but recent patches are generally playable and still very fun, at least for me and my teams. Wholeheartedly recommend it!

A very charming and silly adventure (best played with friends) about flailing and falling through a variety of levels with physics based challenges.

Its key feature is the control over your noodley arms that let you pick up objects or climb over obstacles to progress through the game.

Highly recommended if you enjoy physics sandbox-esque or creative problem solving games.

Helldivers is an unashamedly tongue-in-cheek about spreading liberty and democracy across the galaxy by instituting its brand of liberation on other worlds. To do this, you and up to three other players must take on enemies from the Cyborg (arctic robo-bros), Illuminate (blue alien people), and Bugs (bugs) as you spread the reach of humanity across the galaxy. Players must take caution as to avoid firing on each other in the process, which occurs a lot more often than other games due to the mandatory shared screen (even in online co-op).

A big draw to the game is the use of "stratagems," which provide you with a variety of offensive, defensive, and support items or attacks that can help you turn the tide or better equip yourselves for the upcoming fight. These are activated by radeoing in an arrow-key combination. The game also makes it very explicit that you should be careful with these call-ins since they may inadvertently hit (or land on, if it's a resupply call-in) other players.

The most frustrating parts are arguably the slow progression and quickly repetitive gameplay elements. Players who are adept with games in this genre while find it laughably easy at the start but must play through easier levels before they can access more difficult content. Additionally, equipment unlocks require the player to conquer planets from different factions, which can be a time consuming process. Since the state of the galaxy is shared across all players, once a faction is knocked-out, it's also unavailable for all players until the start of the next war.

I find a lot of joy in experimenting with different loadouts or tactics to tackle the challenges presented by the different objectives that are further augmented by how each faction provides a unique combination of difficulties for the player to overcome. Others that require more direction from the player in terms of how to challenge themselves will quickly find it boring.

Regardless, Arrowhead Game Studios has returned with just a lil' more content every time we celebrate Liberty Day, a holiday that occurs on October 26th. The last update provided a new gamemode with a new weapon, which adds a few hours (or more, if you're feeling adventurous) for returning players. Their dedication to this indie game dating back to 2015 is absolutely well-appreciated by me.

EDIT: The last update to this was in 2019, which occurred on Liberty Day (a fictitious in-universe holiday), adding a new difficulty for only the most dedicated.

You can get pretty skeptical of RPG-type games once you've played enough games in the same category as this, but this is clearly a standout title worth dedicating a few sessions to. Treasure Hunter Claire certainly gives you a bunch of cute characters, outfits, and tons of clients to work with on your quest to make some dolla dolla bills.

Let's consider what you might be interested in any lewd RPG:

- Cute girls (yes, more than one)
- Fluffy content ❤
- Gameplay

When it comes to cute girls, you've got a fair variety of cast members. While our lovely Claire is the main character who naturally soaks up most of the content when it comes to having different outfits and fluffy scenes, she makes friends along the way that also get stuck in sticky situations. Going on character-specific quests like accompanying other cuties on quests means more scenes with them as well as growing close enough to advise on their outfit as they accompany you on your own adventures.

Did I mention that there's tons of fluffy content? Claire takes on your standard fare of monster subjugation quests, but can also volunteer to help out people with more personal matters as well. You can also find events scattered about the world whenever you bite off more than you can really handle in a fight or in locations that might ask you to go above and beyond for a special reward.

While having cute girls do fluffy things is great, you could easily read or watch something to accomplish that. The RPG-elements aren't anything particularly special, but they definitely cut out the grind so you don't have to choose between progressing in the game and enjoying yourself along the way. Any experience is pooled, so you can choose to redistribute that amongst your lesser-leveled team members after the fact. Additionally, fluids you collect along the way can be used to upgrade your stats and clothing, which will help you in combat. So whether you choose to commit to the grind or grind things other than monsters (or monsters too, if that's your thing), you'll be making your way through the game.

All in all, this is a solid title if you're looking for an H-RPG that's actually worth sinking the time into as opposed to your standard CG-hunt. Just remember to grab the restoration patch available on the publisher's website or else you'll be missing out!

While E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy is incapable of telling you what it is and how you should play, it is an absolute gem of a game that allows you to customize your character to play in whatever manner desired.

PROS
- Non-linear story with multiple endings
- Variety of combat abilities and tools
- Brouzoufs

CONS
- Many unexplained or unclear elements of the game
- Minor lingering bugs, such as inaccurate player markers

Character progression is possible through unlocking cybernetic augments, psi powers, and purchasable weapons, of which only a few are absolutely necessary for survival on higher difficulties!

Sam "Serious" Stone is rocking almost all of his weapons for Serious Sam 3: Battle for Earth. A prequel to Serious Sam 1: The First Encounter, Sam battles his way past armies of aliens teleported in by the evil mastermind, Mental. Getting to the timelock is key from saving Earth from getting "mooned" and guess who's in control? You.

You have an entire arsenal at your disposal that equips you for combat at almost any range. From tearing out eye balls to firing cannon balls bigger than your body right from your hand, you've got the best weaponry in the universe. This game will make you use them well too with at least an army of suiciding screaming men and raging bulls and organic laser cannons. Did I mention that there's a giant mythological beast to behead too?

This game can be a great challenge when played alone or loads of fun when with others. There's 16 player support, so get your friends to get this game too because trust me, you'll have a blast.

Left 4 Dead is a zombie apocalypse game where players take control of four different and unique characters who work together to escape the rotting clutches of the fallen. The game is very insistent on tight teamwork, purposefully creating situations that set up teams for failure should they decide to work individually instead of pooling their efforts into one.

The environment in Left 4 Dead is akin to one of a typical suburb while some portion of the game does take place in more rural and business areas. The game has a darker, colder feel to it as it takes place in the night and brings with it, a sense of death and decay, what with all the former residents dead. While it may seem that all hope is lost, players are greeted with the hope that they can make it, defeating any challenges along the way.

In general, Left 4 Dead is best suited towards those seeking a four player cooperative game. It's a great introduction into first person shooters, and plays just as well for veteran gamers.

Left 4 Dead 2 is the bright and open sequel to the dark and tight Left 4 Dead. In this game, players will encounter bigger challenges; gauntlets of zombies, hordes of tanks, making teamwork more important than ever with the new Realism option. Having a plethora of weapons ranging from assualt rifles to cricket bats, players will be immersed a zombie-apocalyptic accompanied by a light atmosphere. The game is rarely grim or scary, and will try to adjust to players of different skill levels.
