Playing Payday 2 in VR
Since I've been getting questions about playing PD2 in VR, I've come up with a helpful list of pros and cons:

Pros of VR
* Enemies do less damage to VR players
* Can interact with objects while doing things with your other hand (ex. You can fix a drill while still shooting at enemies)
* Can shoot and throw bags/grenades in a direction you’re not looking at (including around corners or behind you)
* With akimbo weapons, you can move and fire each hand independently of the other (even though it doesn’t show on the character model to other players)
* Can have a gun in one hand and a melee weapon in the other, and can attack with both
* You can crouch much lower than your character ingame can, meaning in stealth it’s easier to hide and in loud it’s a lot easier to find cover (because the game tracks your location by your head)
* Bonuses to some skills / perk decks when using teleportation. See here for more details: http://www.overkillsoftware.com/payday-2-vr-update/
* Tasers are pretty much a non-issue (unless you’ve got a rocket launcher equipped and happen to be aiming at your own feet, or if you have almost no ammo left)
* The direct movement system is by far the best I've ever experienced in VR. It's so much fun.
* Can sprint in all directions by default
* Can reload while sprinting by default
* Can fire all guns while sprinting by default
* Instantly place deployables
* No weird tilt to the side while carrying bags
* Ziplines / skydiving are so much fun with comfort mode off (whee!)
* Can dance in the DJ booth in the Alesso Heist
* Can throw bags further than normal by holding out your arm

Cons of VR
* VR players are targeted by AI more than non-VR players
* Some skills have different effects, or may even have absolutely no effect if you use the direct movement system instead of teleportation.
* Your accuracy is limited by your own physical abilities more than the accuracy of the gun itself (full auto notwithstanding)
* Melee is unwieldy and weird. Some games do melee in VR well; Payday 2 is not one of those games
* Unable to send any messages in text chat when not in the lobby
* Nothing to alert you if someone writes something in text chat; you have to check the near-illegible tablet
* Cloaker jumpscares
* Stability is a useless stat
* No push to talk
* No jumping; you have to use teleportation to get up on top of things
* Jumping long distances (ex. The jump at the end of the Undercover heist) is incredibly difficult, and it involves trying to wave your arm around until you find the exact sweet spot
* Maps that involve platforming are hellish (I’m looking at you, Lab Rats)
* Ladders only work when they feel like it
* No way to tell if you’ve got buffs or how long they last
* Have to crouch in real life; there’s no button for it
* Cloakers often blind you due to collision detection putting you into something you can’t teleport out of
* Not all weapons available (most notably crossbows)
