Nice small game. Some good music in the background and you can let go for an hour. Although it has not the same feel as "The settlers", but still a good city builder for in between.

Let´s see what the price will be

Uii... Where to start...
FIrst of all, I finished the game in about 10hours+ (and I am a completionist) but I have to admit that I had to force myself to finish it quarter into the game and again halfway into it. And it gets better at the end. When after 10 Chapters of Tutorial you finally have all the tools you will get and get shoved into real challenges.

At the end I finally got my head around what was bothering me all the time:
The world feels terribly dead and boring. Sure, it is a ratpocalypse but the developers made a great effort to visually impress the player but they forgot to make the world feel alive. There is no immersion which sucks you into the world and in turn into the story.
I do not expect a functional economy with NPC-to-NPC trading but I do expect atleast some NPC´s at all. The game is basically consisting of 2 types of characters: Your companions and enemies you can kill. Nothing more. There is no caravan of refugees or some townsfolk that are packing their stuff to leave town. There is just noone there.

Furthermore the game is not just linear, it is foreseeable. Think of Mass Effect where at some points you go around a corner and see a lot of obstacles and cover, so you know:"Ah, well load the gun, there is a fight coming up" In the meantime you are just walking down the railroad track looting badly hidden stuff and seeing a cutscene once in a while.

But don´t get me wrong, the game is, from a technical aspect, flawless and visually impressive. The story which is the focus of this game would be genuine and interesting wouldn´t it be for the lack of immersion.

So I sadly can not recommend it. Not unless it is lower than 15€ on sale. Then it is worth the 10hours of time (it is cheaper than going to the movies 5 times)

So, let us Start by saying that this is a storybased graphic novel. If you are not in to that, ignore this title!

Contrary to the other reviewers I read here, this game is NOT played through in 2 hours!
You would need around 3-4 hours to reveal every aspect of the Story. Neither finishing the "main game" nor finishing "the epilogue" would count as 'finished'. To unravel the complete story and realising what all of this Story is about would have you read short-stories of Ben and looking at photographs of Kelly and doing every little thing this game offers you to explore.

This complete game is a form of art. Again, if you do not like this kind of game, do not play it.

All of that said, I liked how the game was made. That everything you could do, click, read or see in this game completes the Story
BUT I did not like the story itself. I can not even tell you why, neither would I, in fear of spoilering. And you should experience the story yourself because this is really my subjective perspective.

First of all, yes , do not buy this game at full price unless you want to support the developer. It is a short game (~ 2hours) and has no replayabilty...

...CAUSE it is completely focused on slowly revealing it´s emotional story and loving characters. Although the story itself does not particularly suit me ,like a lot of other guys here , I still liked cause it is delivered fantastically. You slowly get to know all of the characters. Their emotions ,feelings, what drives them, social background and thoughts are revealed as if you were meeting and getting to know a real person. As far as a video game can. And that is the point, why I personally like and recommend this game,
It is showing how a video game can create real emotions. This game can and will get you to a point of emotional connection to the characters, if you let it. I would love to see such a depth and creativity in storytelling in every other game (with storys even a 21 year old guy can immerge into ,cause !!!!SPOILER!!! a lesbian teen story !!!! SPOILER!!!! is just not what I am usually into). If other developers learn from this and try to reproduce character-, and storydepth the gaming industry And the gamers can look forward to games that will provoke and induce Love, Fear, Grief (meh) , true Excitement, Curiosity and most importantly Fun!

Keep the spelling mistekes , I am out
Have Fun and Good Luck
