Highly recommended! I picked this game up a few months ago and haven't been able to put it down since. If you enjoy survival games with tameable, rideable, dinosaurs, this is what you're looking for! Singleplayer can be challenging; be sure to adjust your server settings to fit your gameplay. If you want to level faster, gather resources faster, or be stronger then the dino's, set it up before you load up your game!

The point is to level up quick, find a nice spot to build your necessary items to gear up, then start taming to make life easier and more fun! There's special caves to visit to find artifacts, which can be used at one of the three Obelisks to summon... DUN DUN DUN the final boss of the area. It's really quite fun. Either Singleplayer or Multi, this game is really fun and addicting!

This game can also be taxing on PC's. I myself am using an 8 year old PC, but Ive tweaked it so I can play and enjoy the game fully.

It's all about the settings in-game, as well as running ARK with 'nomansky' or 'no sky effects' and 'low memory 4gb'. You can get both of these settings turned on at the same time by going to your

- Steam Library, right click ARK, go to Properties, General Tab, Launch Settings, and in your settings put -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10 -nomansky

This will launch your game without sky effects and low memory settings. Now, for in-game settings.

In-game -
Set ground clutter to 0.
Set sky effects to 0.
Turn Resolution Scale all the way up.
Individual settings will be up to you and what your PC can personally handle. Like I said before, I have an 8 year old computer, so these are my settings -

Run in WINDOWEDFULLSCREEN [still looks full screen but runs with way less memory usage]
World Buffer - Low
View Distance - High
Anti-Alias- Medium
Post Processing - Low
Shadows - Low to Medium
Textures - High [If stutters are terrible, Medium]

Film Grain - Check
High Quality Materials - Check
High Quality VFX - Check
All others - UNCHECKED, unless you can run them

Run your game. It should run fine, but not look super awesome sexy. I have videos of my ARK gameplay uploaded on my youtube channel. You can check these out and see if this is tolerable for ya!
