First of all: Dust is one of the greatest looking and sounding games I've ever played. The soundtrack is simply mind blowing and the artwork and animation are top-notch quality. The gameplay is extremely fun, the story is surprisingly engaging and there are literally tons of side quests, dialogue and exploration to play through in addition to the main quest.

Dust: An Elysian Trail is a fine example of a low-budget indie game beating the crap out of many AAA-releases both gameplay, and storywise. Worth every penny.

OFP: Red River is a very average shooter, and nothing more. When it comes to realism, it's somewhere between Call of Duty and ARMA with one-hit kills, large maps and bullet drops etc. If you excpect something like the first OFP games, you will be disappointed and I recommend trying ARMA II and ARMA III instead.

The single player campaign is very dull and annoying, and this is mostly because of the dumbass AI. You basically have to fulfill the role of fireteam leader, combat medic, anti-tank and anti-air soldier and also the sniper. Your fireteam is only good for suppressing enemies and they occasionally succeed in busting a cap in the a*s of a random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but usually they just annoy the hell out of me by getting shot and not fixing me up when I get wounded. The enemy AI is as stupid as the one of your teammates, and most of the firefights feel like being at a shooting gallery popping seemingly endless amounts of infantry from a distance.

The story is pretty basic "hoorah murica get sum" action with the U.S Marines saving the world, first from the evil imaginary taleban-Tajikistans, and then from the Chinese Army.

The best moments of the game are when you have room to improvise and can use the vast landscape to flank the enemy, but unfortunately these moments are too few. Most missions are just shooting couple of enemies, sitting on the back of a HUMMVEE and repeating it all over again.

The co-op feature pretty much saves the games, since if you have a couple of friends you don't have to deal with the dumbass AI all the time. There is also a leveling system with some customization available and you can unlock new gear and weapons for four different classes, which is nice and rewarding.

If you enjoy FPS-games and want something more slower-paced than Call of Duty and Battlefield, try this one out. It was featured in one of the Humble Bundles a while back. It's still very buggy, although it has been out for years and it also forces you to use GFWL, which sucks.

my friends made me buy this game so i punched a wild boar to death with a rock and then hit it's dead body with a pickaxe which resulted in getting my bag full of chicken breast fillets

It's not actually a bad game. Yes, the combat is simple and dull and some of the mechanics almost seem unfinished, but the story is great and there is TONS of lore, dialogue and codex entries for fans of the series to enjoy. If you are not familiar with Game of Thrones, don't bother buying this. On the other hand, if you love the series, It's worth a few euros. 29,99€ is definetly too much, but for example Humble Bundle offered this game for any price you want to pay.

The third F.E.A.R game can be summed up to two adjectives: generic and boring. The first F.E.A.R and it's expansion were phenomenal, the second one was not as good but still playable but the third installment is just so dull that I can't force myself to play it.

4/10
