TL;DR - If you can stand more issues than a Bethesda game at launch, buy this game. If not, wait until the patches fix most everything.

Okay, so if bugs bother you, maybe wait until AFTER the patches, because right now this has more of them than the Amazon rainforest. Over my 100+ hours of playtime, I've experienced the following:

- T-posing NPCs
- Facial animations not playing correctly
- Broken quests/triggers that require either a reload of a save OR the entire game
- Multiple geometry and collision issues (tried to jump through a window and flew 200ft backwards)
- Glitchy vehicles (called my motorcycle which cart-wheeled into view, shot into the stratosphere, then landed back in front of me like nothing happened)
- Weapons that fail to load
- Audio that fails to load
- Textures that fail to load
- Loading screens failing to load
- Clothing failing to load
- Geometry and texture pop-in
- Random FPS drops
- Low-poly NPCs
- Disappearing NPCs
- NPCs appearing right in front of me
- NPCs just letting it all hang free
- Holes in the map which cause you to descend into the void
- Probably more that I've forgotten about

To say that this game needed more time in the oven is a bigger understatement than saying "2020 was the worst year since 1918." CD Projekt Red has objectively and unequivocally failed in delivering a stable gaming experience and that is a massive let down. However, and I fully accept that I am possibly in the minority here - I don't really care.

Yes, the bugs can be annoying, I won't deny that. But the only time that the multitude of issues presented above REALLY affected my gaming experience is when I was met with quest trigger issues, and even then a reload of a save or the game fixed the issue. I'd also like to point out that apparently I'm one of the lucky ones, as I never had what I would consider a hard crash or a lockup at all.

Visual bugs have never really affected my enjoyment of a video game, mainly because I personally play them for the narrative to get lost in, and while having a glitch-free experience helps with the immersion, it's not the be all and end all for me.

With that in mind, as a single-player, narrative-driven cyborg future experience? Cyberpunk 2077 excels. The story is written extremely competently and pretty much exactly what I was hoping for, the acting by the entire cast is top notch and of a quality that's comparable to anything Naughty Dog has put out, the gunplay (when it works) is immaculate in it's presentation and feel, weaponry itself feels tangible and punchy and the visuals are incredible, both in terms of fidelity and art direction (it's absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beautiful).

Overall, while it's buggier than Fallout 4 or Skyrim ever was, I didn't find that it was that bad for me in terms of my actual ENJOYMENT, and in that metric alone, this game gets a 10/10. Add those bugs in and the score definitely drops to a 7/10, but in the last few days since release with the patches that CDPR have pushed out, it's getting better all the time.

My overall recommendation? BUY. THIS. GAME. You'll regret it if you don't.

On the plus side, it's cheaper than Black Ops: Cold War, and I'm STILL wondering where my $100 went for that steaming lump of crap...
