TL;DR: Cannot hammer the recommend button strong enough. Get this and then get the soundtrack!

Up to this day I have completed Bastion, abandoned Transitor twice (I know, I hate that too) and spent an ungodly amount of time in Hades. After that I picked up Pyre. Oh. My. Lard! THE best story Supergiant Games put to paper. One can certainly feel the fingerprints of this game all over Hades. The difference in Hades is the cast is fully voiced, even though there is less of dialog. Pyre is 90% dialog and it is amazing. I must confess that it was a challenge early on to get into the world, as this is a entirely original piece with eight races and a pantheon of gods. (Which is admittedly further from a comfort zone of an average white human than the pantheon in Hades.) But once I got into the grove, it was frickin' amazing. The twists and turns of leading to an epic conclusion. Mechanically Hades is the best game hands down and I would be even Bastion above Pyre. While at the core a interesting spin on rugby/basketball, I found myself defaulting to a couple tricks to get through the matches. If you ever decide to get it, this is the best set of characters and world Supergiant Games created to date.
