this game honestly isn't that good but it is a classic XBLA indie game and good for dumb fun with friends every now and then, worth the price

Absolutely amazing game, really makes you want to increase the Pentagon's budget. As a nice bonus, its filesize is less than 3 gigabytes which is a rarity these days.

this game isn't terrible, just kinda mediocre. the internal management is pretty in depth and interesting but i can only play it for so many hours straight before getting tired of microing it endlessly. that wouldn't be an issue if there was anything else to the game; diplomacy is not really any deeper than other paradox games, and the war system is pretty bad; you just get bigger numbers than the enemy, press advance, and hope you win before your economy falls apart because war is absurdly expensive, which is probably realistic but doesn't make for very good gameplay. also as a lot of other people have pointed out there's a noticeable lack of flavor, even compared to other paradox games. i do like the colonization system, definitely a big improvement over vic2 or eu4. overall a disappointment for me given the $50 price tag, i guess i can hope that they improve it in the future
