Saves don't actually save where you are for me. Sometimes it lets me load at the most recent checkpoint. Other times it loads me into the beginning of the chapter. This gets really annoying when I need to load into specific sections of the game. I'm not sure if this is a SteamOS issue or part of the game's design.

The game has black bars on the top and bottom of the screen because of the Steam Deck's 16:10 aspect ratio, which could've been better handled in my opinion.

The game gives me errors whenever I do anything offline (R5317-0-0). The notification says it's related to achievements, but Steam achievements should still work offline.

I've had to replay sections of the game because of this issues. It leads to some weird situation where I needed to replay Ch 2 after completing Ch 3 because the achievement / challenge bugged out.

Also, launch the demo once (don't actually play it) for it to create a demo savefile (it'll say "no savefile found, creating new savefile"). This unlocks the "Ghost Trick" BGM and 2 backgrounds. I don't recommend playing through the demo since achievements don't transfer.

I can't recommend this game (at full price) with these issues, and I don't think Capcom is going to fix them. I really like the story, so I'd definitely recommend getting it at a significant discount.

Achievements are bugged when playing in offline mode. The game didn't work on the Steam Deck for the longest time (despite having Verified Compatibility). Story is kinda wonky at some parts and the hints don't really help (unrelated to puzzles).

Some spoiler free hints which should make the game playable (marking as spoilers just in case):

Execution Vote: Try to unlock all related bad endings here before continuing with the game. I found multiple threads of people very confused as to why they couldn't complete the game because the bad endings weren't shown as incomplete on the story fragment view.
All Endings: You can skip the credits on all endings except for the final one. The button on PC is Esc. I don't know the button on controller.

I can't really recommend this game unless you're getting it for dirt cheap. since the game wasn't even playable for the majority of the time I owned it.

Minor issues:
- No Cloud Save (useful when moving to Steam Deck for Hard Mode clear)
- Controller Support is Weird (at least when I was testing it)
- Steam Deck is Untested

Not So Minor Issues:
- Button Inputs feel like they're being skipped sometimes
- Randomization of generator patterns gets annoying when combined with the previous issue
- the game is basically unplayable (at least for me) on Hard mode once you get to a certain point (Level 6 for me)

Apart from those complaints, I really liked the game.

While the game was great, the PC release wasn't that good. Almost all video clips were compressed to the point that it looked like 240p (I'm not talking about the stylized clips). There was also less graphics customization options in the launcher when compared to the previous game.
I needed to use the AISomniumFiles2Fix mod for the game to look decent, and it still wasn't enough.
While I would recommend the game, there's no way I'd recommend getting this at anything less than 50% off.

Still working my way through the game, but I find it odd that a game this old doesn't have an OpenGL option. DXVK is great and all, but I'm pretty sure it would be better if I could skip the middleman and use Vulkan/OpenGL.

Controls take getting used to after playing P5R, but the game is playable.

I'll probably update my review once I complete the game, but I wouldn't recommend buying this unless it's on sale.

DXVK is great and all, but I'm pretty sure it would be better if I could skip the middleman and use Vulkan/OpenGL. I've seen reports of people using DXVK on Windows because it performs better than the DX11 binding. I believe that Denuvo is causing the game to max out and drain the Steam Deck battery, which was annoying to say the least.

I really like the game and found it enjoyable, but those 2 things put a hamper on my experience.

My one issue with this game is the lack of keyboard controls (or control instructions).

Still worth the money I paid for it (I bought it during the Steam Summer Sale, so I got it for less than $0.99)

The English Translation is Bad and Steam Achievments are glitchy. The controls are very loose.

Update: The previous issues are still there, but after completing the game I have decided to change my review. The plot is slow to progress but enjoyable and the music is pretty good for a free indie game.
