Incredible quality FPS game, specially considering it's free to play. I see myself playing this one here and there.

People from LAM: There ARE latin american servers (contrary to popular belief, because the game shows it as "europe", but if you have your region as "auto", you should get connected to latin american servers anyway, so dont worry).

The game crashes after about 1 minute. Literally unplayable.

A small team of 3 doing what triple A companies can't/won't because of greed.

Far from having great optimization, but it's also not too bad. Performance aside, the game is amazing, full of details and interesting things to do.

It keeps on getting better, and adding diversity. Nice game to play with friends if you have one of those.

Probably one of the most underrated games i have ever played. I would come back to it as soon as i know people are playing it in Latam again.

Early Access Review
As many already stated, this is basically Factorio in first person, but don't let that make you think it's just a simple "copy/paste" type of game.

The game world is absolutely immersive, sound is top notch, graphics are gorgeous and machine animations are probably some of (if not THE) best i've ever seen in any type of video game. All this creates a world in which you lose yourself very easily. It really shows that the people behind this project thought of everything as there is a total dedication to detail everywhere you go, and with every action you take.

The amount of hours you can dedicate to this game only depends on how much you want to, as it has an insane amount of content and progression, even in its early access status. I feel like this game is playing in a league of its own and has no real competition.

The attention to detail in this top down shooter is something many AAA first person shooters promise they have, but actually only WISH they could achieve. This game screams "tactical" from every angle you wanna see it from. Graphics and sound design are amazing, physics are incredible, and more importantly gameplay is top notch.

Let's look at the points that made me uninstall this game this last time after i gathered forces to give it another shot. I'll share with you the most immediately obvious ones...

1- Can you believe that BF2042 forces you and every other player OUT of the match once it finishes, as well as to go through EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF PROGRESSION for 30 NON-SKIPABLE seconds (including of course the battle pass progression), before it actually SENDS YOU BACK IN QUEUE to wait for another match?. Why dissolve the whole player base of a map instead of using it to send it together into the next one, keeping the action flowing, you ask? This is of course just another show of how this game was designed from the ground up with the idea of dopamine-injecting the ♥♥♥♥ out of every player in hopes for them to spend as much money in the game as possible, because if you look at how you "progress" through the battle pass and see all the goodies you are missing, you will surely want to buy it sooner or later right?

2- The UI is probably one of the worst things i have ever had to deal with visually, in my life, not only in the UIs spectrum. It's full of attention-calling colors and animations that make immersing yourself into the action an impossible task. It looks like it was the first project of an intern. A pharmacy intern. Again, another show of how EA/Dice pointed this game towards calling desperately from your attention using psychological tricks instead of focusing on making the game people asked for.

3- Heroes. Oh sorry, did you really need for an explanation about this one? Ok then... Yeah, they are still in the game. They made it a bit better by putting them under "classes", but i swear to you, the feeling of actually playing a soldier that had a real "role" that you had from previous BFs is still nowhere to be found. It mostly functions as a balancing limitation of the loadouts and that is all it really brings to the table.

It is insane how when you close this mediocre project of a psychological weapon and open BF1, it looks like BF1 should be the newer entry of the franchise by a thousand miles. You are greeted by an amazingly captivating main menu soundtrack and background, you get into the server browser (something BF2042 has no idea about), and get into an unlimited loop of one of the most immersive action experiences that ever existed in the gaming industry. The graphics are breath-taking. The UI is top-notch, absolutely minimal, because the attention calling factors are already in the very action. The sound of the enemy tank's metal chassis approaching your vulnerable squad announcing an imminent explosive fight to death for the defense of the point is just...the very definition of a masterpiece.

BF2042 was at launch, and still is, a clear intention from EA/Dice to copy Warzone's model and jump into the "game as a service" bandwagon as fast and forced as possible, no matter how much they try to now get some of that stuff fixed. At its very core BF2042 will always show how this project was designed from the very beginnings as a sugar filled experience to keep players addicted to FOMO and dopamine injections.

TLDR: BF2042 is still ♥♥♥♥. A bit less ♥♥♥♥ than before, yeah, but still ♥♥♥♥ and as long as its core remains like this, i'm not coming back to the franchise
