Been playing since about 2008, many hundreds of hours over the years. Its less of a learning curve and more of a, "losing is fun" slope.

So far the learning curve has been quite fine, waiting for the grind to set in with the corruption.
If you like Banished + Dwarf Fortress / Rimworld, its quite enjoyable with a fairly chill pacing.

At first it asked me to use nano, but since vim is also an option I can safely recommend this to others.

Wonderful atmospheric sounds and art.
Storytelling with elements of Tibetan philosophy and theology that keeps it interesting and motivating.
