It's a good game, story doesn't make sense until the end and is a bit out there but is fine but it's not like people play DOOM for the story anyway.
Combat is entertaining but requires some getting used to.
I personally like the new dash mechanic but I barely used the flame belch at all, it feels useless and the armor it provides is so little it's almost nothing. Grenades and ice bombs are nice but all this doesn't feel all that DOOM like. Still fun in my opinion tho.
Levels are fun and the added verticallity from climbing mechanics and such is nice. I didn't mind the platforming puzzle parts since they're all pretty simple and fast to go through.
The only real complaint I have about the game is that whoever designed the marauder deserves to rot in hell for the rest of eternity being tortured by multiple demons 24/7. It breaks the normal combat cycles completely, is completely random and makes no sense. Every other enemy is fun to fight against but every time a Marauder appeared, I just wanted to quit the game. Seriously, delete this trash piece of ♥♥♥♥.
