I could only play it for 96 minutes (to ensure I could get a refund). The great reviews is what sold me on it.

I just felt like it was too linear and restrictive. I like city-builders and roguelites but this one just. . . I dunno. . . I just didn't care for it.

The graphics are amazing and everything appears to run really good - I just didn't care for the mechanics of it.

I play a lot of colony builder games. If you like games like Dwarf Fortress, you'll love Dwarf Fortress.


I finally get to say that as all other colony builder/survival games were compared against DF and now, it's compared against itself.

It's an okay game. There's nothing new or redeeming or unique about it, if I'm being quite honest.

I'll come back and play it in a few months to see how the updates are coming, but at this point, I don't think it's worth $25. It may be in the future, but just not right now.

I can't get past a certain part in the game as it's either not obvious what to do or the game is bugged and the dev appears to not exist in the discussion forum. I see a recent update but the Discussion page is full of year-old content, so. . . .

For some reason, my 'expedition' won't actually move anywhere. It'll just go to the corner of the map and sit there and no buttons show up for me to choose an activity to do on any of the nodes selected. It shows information for the node, but doesn't actually have the ability for me to say "go here" or "do this."

Abandonware?

I had this game on my Wishlist for quite a while after the demo. The moment I got the email saying it had released, I JUMPED on it.

Imagine Rimworld & Dwarf Fortress had a redheaded stepchild and you'll have Clanfolk. It's VERY well done, though not as in-depth (imo) as either RW or DF.

I love the music, the ambience, etc. I love the art style too.

Is this game revolutionary? No, not at all. Not yet, at least. It's pretty much the same as most games in the genre but it is just well done. There's some AI problems and there is a lot of different things going on that I feel are either unexplained or aren't easily understandable -- like, it's not OBVIOUS what it's for. Those tend to be the status effects that happen. It's not always clear what they need to fix something, or if you can even fix it in that moment (due to not having a tier unlocked).

There are some quirks that I feel need to be addressed but overall the game is DEFINITELY going to allow you to sink hours into it. It's nothing revolutionary but it's fun. That's why I play games and this does the job.

If you like these type of games, I really think you'll like this one. Lots to unlock.

For an "overwhelmingly positive" game, this game was very underwhelming. Graphics are amazing, sure, but that's about where it ends. More cheap tricks to "jump scare" you, yet it's so obvious that nothing is creepy, even though you really want it to be.

The acting is pretty abysmal, as is the writing in several places.

Yeah, lady -- you just shot your dad with a shotgun in the face and now he's "back" so you definitely should jump down into the fire with him.

Cheesy. WAAAAY too linear. Way, way too linear. There felt like zero freedom here. I hadn't played any of the franchise since RE1 & RE2 (didn't like when they made you play with 2 characters, which I think was the 3rd one).

$60 game? No, thanks. I got this on sale for 50% off and I'm still refunding it because I thought it was just not good at all.

That moment you realize they added fall damage to the released game when they didn't have it in the demo.

12/10 would take critical fall damage again.

I don't think I've ever downvoted a game I got from Humble Bundle but I'm downvoting this one.

Like, what in the world? The art is amazing, yes. I really enjoyed that part - bravo to the devs for having that level of creativity.

But then it just kept going with weird cutscenes that I was forced to sit through, not knowing what I'm supposed to do. I ended in a spot where there are 12+ mirrored images of myself and the woman that was just shot because nothing worked. No buttons did anything. I could pan around and look around (though restricted to about 120 degrees or so and when the magnifying glass came up, it wouldn't let me click on it like it had before with the phone.

I just shut it down because that's ridiculous. The game tries to be something cool but it really comes off to me as ridiculous.

It's a 'definitely' from me. I dunno that the price point is where it should be (yet), but this is a solid game. It can be confusing at first and there are some QoL changes that need to be implemented (like the ability to see which buildings are producing what (like 'alt' in Factorio)), but it has good bones and is a lot of fun.

I also wish the 'seed' changed the maps themselves. Playing the same map over and over again (only like 5 options) is 'meh'. The others are ridiculous challenges due to either having cliffs or no space, or little access to the water, etc.

I also feel like belts need to be accessible earlier because I end up having to redo a lot of things. There should also be an upgrade for the smelters so that it can PUMP the molten metal up the molten pipe (so we don't have to have it on flat ground, or, have to build the smelters high).

If you like Factorio, you will probably like this. It's definitely EA but it has huge, and I mean HUGE potential.

What an absolute gem of a game. I absolutely recommend this game for its price-point. I'd probably still recommend it at $8, so $4.99 is a great deal.

I beat the game in probably about 4-6 hours, but it really was a pleasure and in the back of my mind, I hope like heck that they keep adding to the game because this could really become something bigger than what it is.

But, given the devs, it'll probably stay as it is, and even if it does, it was worth the money. 100% recommended.

Only thing I'd suggest is a "auto-stack" button.
