Absolutely fantastic Metroidvania. I had never heard of this game until I randomly came across it on sale somehow. 100% recommend this and it's prequel.

Honestly have no idea why, but this game is highly addictive. It's also a great game to play if you have 45 minutes to kill.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who loves platformers such as Megaman or Castlevania, but also loved the old SNES Actraiser. It's basically a very well done Actraiser type game where you have your overworld view doing your tower defense essentially, and then the sidescrolling game play is reminiscent of a megaman/castlevania hybrid. 9/10 game. Only thing I'd like to see is being able to upgrade your soldiers more.

I would absolutely recommend this game as it's a short but fun Metroidvania. Less than 5 hours, maybe could squeeze another hour out of it going for the acheivements (actually, there is a hard mode, you might be able to double the playtime in that case). My only gripe is the attack seems to be a little janky at times, especially when jumping. Sometimes it just doesn't work. It's not bad enough to detract from my enjoyment of the game though.

Very good game. Not too big on the story, but overall the platforming made the game very fun. The exploration is also top notch!

A great Metroidvania with a great mix of humorous puns and seriousness. Not too difficult you want to throw your controller, but also not so easy that you're constantly bored. I'd definitely recommend this to fans of this genre.
