Very disappointing compared to Red Alert 1. I particularly dislike the art direction they've taken on here. Granted, Red Alert never was a super serious wargame but this Saturday-morning-cartoon look is too much for me. Didn't like the gameplay either.

The game feels like a Devil May Cry bootleg and it certainly is not AAA quality. Suprisingly enjoyable if you can stay with it past the first few levels. Nice atmosphere for an original setting, it managed to instill a certain sense of wonderment/exploration in me despite being linear. Some great eye candy too (especially in compass view). I had a lot of fun with it. The lighting (bloom) is hilarious at times, but not a big issue. The mechanic of being able to rewind time at will and then attack alongside your ghostly image deserves particular praise as it's fairly unique. The story has the usual twists but I felt they were well executed - some of my guesses were wrong. There is a multiplayer component (a kind of MOBAesque duel) but it lacks matchmaking - looks like you need to invite a person.
