Love what I've played so far. Opening episodes are a bit shorter than I expected, about 45 mins to an hour. But they're solid. Intro was very good. Already looking forward to sequel, and maybe a TV show 😄

To keep it short, it's a fun old school JRPG with a lot of heart, if a few questionable design choices, though these hardly factor into the wider game.

Works flawlessly on my steamdeck and the early bugs spotted in the pre-relase have been sorted.

Better than Suikoden 1 & 4, on par with 3 & 5, but doesn't touch Suikoden 2. But that's a high bar - I look forward to a sequel and seeing if the team can hit it.

Beware, ignore the culture war nonsense that a tiny but loud minority are trying to stir up regarding the translation.
